πŸŽ„Rotary Club of Batavia Coast Christmas Party πŸŽ…πŸΌ

A fantastic, festive evening where we celebrated wrapping up 2020 together

πŸ₯‚FELLOWSHIP is “a friendly feeling that exists between people who have a shared interest

or are doing something as a group” and is a key part of any Rotary Club

but it’s the glue that holds this club together

🀝We are very fortunate to always enjoy such great fellowship

and our 2020 end of year function was no exception πŸ₯³

It's Como Xmas time..

..thanks Richard and Kath Moore for a fabulous night

tπŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Our annual Christmas party included a bus trip to the beautiful little town of Cunderdin.

Lunch at the BP Roadhouse and a tour of the town was followed

by afternoon tea with our lovely hosts Patricia and Trevor.

We all enjoyed the day out.

Thanks to Steve who drove us, even though he was not well.

Last night was a massive night at our Xmas Party.

Great fun all round plus a guest appearance from Father Christmas!

πŸ™‚Have a great festive season everyone!

Christmas Party.

The end of the Calendar Year was celebrated by members,

their partners and guests at Chez Puddey

The Rockingham Rotary Club had their Christmas dinner

at the Senior Officer's Mess on Garden Island.

Thank-you to the Club Services Committee for organising the event.

A great meal was followed by Secret Santa which was spiced up by

allowing members to select their own present or take another member's gift if they liked it

. We had to invoke the three swaps only rule several times.

There are two decorated Christmas Trees on display at

Halls Head Central in front of Priceline.

Enjoy their beauty and vote for the not for profit group

you believe has done the best job decorating.

Thank you

 #hallsheadcentral

for the opportunity

Last nights RIDE stall at the Baldivis Twlight Markets was so much fun!

πŸŽ„Thankyou to all who came along!

we joined Subi Action for their Subiaco Xmas Frolics along Rokeby Road.

We had 2 stalls - one outside the Post Office where the Chocolate Wheel

was a real hit and one at the train station.

Thanks to all our members for their hard work and participation in this event

and congratulations to the Subi Action team on a great evening in Subiaco.

Wishing all our fellow Rotarians and friends

a very happy and safe Christmas and all the best for 2021.

THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU

This year at our

Stirling Farmers Market

, our club has been absolutely blessed with the help of a fantastic team of students from

Churchlands Senior High School

.

Each week several of them help with the setting up and dismantling of tables,

chairs and marquees - while another group help sanitise tables between customers.

Our market would have been almost impossible to run without

their help in this challenging COVID year,

so today a few of our members, from the Market Management Committee,

stopped by the school to catch up with their Community Services Coordinator, Christine,

and just some of the students -

delivering them a special pizza lunch.

We also discussed with the students how the contribution they make enables

the funds from the market to be ploughed back into the community

- so their good turn pays double dividends.

It is not all work and no play at

Rotary Club of Karrinyup

. The golfing enthusiasts gathered today for the annual traditional Christmas Golf.

We shall have to wait to find out who won but no doubt the wind-down afterwards

was much appreciated on such a warm day!

There was plenty of interest in the guest speaker this week.

Dawn introduced Christina Matthews, CEO of the

WACA - Western Australian Cricket Association

, who told us all about the iconic ground and future plans.

Baldivis Rotarian, Jacki Gahan presented a proposal too good to refuse

to support our sister club in their efforts to create a 2021 signature event.

The proposed Rockingham 4-8 km historical interactive walk

for Mental Health looks like a winner for October next year.
