We visited Start Over Support (SOS) yesterday to deliver 160+ children’s back packs.

This is a Como Rotary Community Project supported by a Rotary District Grant,

led by Rotarian Pam O’Garr, with lots of support from many members.

As many know SOS support families start up again, after moving from crisis situations.

Frequently this means the children have to change schools,

and therefore we saw a need to provide some support.

Hence the Back Pack for Kids Project was developed by Pam and her helpers

. The back packs are divided into 2 ages,

Year 1 to 4, and Year 5 upwards.

Each Back Pack contains all the basic needs of school kids,

 from pencils, crayons,

pencil case, eraser, sharpener, ruler, glue stick, scissors,

etc + water bottle and wide brim sun hat.

Kathie and the team at SOS were delighted to take delivery of all the back packs

and will be handed out starting in the new 2021 school year.

Como Rotary Club are proud Community Partners with SOS.

They play such an important part in our community and we love supporting them.
