SUN, 25 AUG AT 10:30

Hey everyone.
I’m organising a craft and stories session for kids
focused on the Rotary Foundation
. I have ideas for all the six areas except maternal and child health.
Obviously women dying in childbirth is not an easy topic to discuss with kids.
So I’m looking for inspiration in other projects that fit this areas of focus
. Could you share your ideas?
To give some context, this is how I am planning to cover the other areas of focus
Peace and conflict resolution - draw a dove or make a paper crane
Water and sanitation - create a toilet block from LEGO
Basic literacy and education - reading stories
Disease prevention - create a virus or bacteria
with pipe cleaners etc (using pictures as a guide)
Community Development - imagine a Rotary Park

Do you enjoy craft and storytelling?
Got some kids or grandkids to bring along?
This event is for ALL Rotary clubs to show the community
that Rotary is kid-friendly and that parents with young children can be involved.
I’m also looking for a couple of extra table leaders
to inspire kids and their parents about the six Rotary areas of focus
. If you are free on this day
I can explain the themes and ideas so you can choose what activity
to be involved in. It will be so much fun!
