Rotary Club of Geraldton

Today Karrinyup Rotary members joined the Rotary Club of Osborne Park

who hosted a fabulous Christmas party?

for Ukrainian refugees at their Colin Moore Community Centre.

So lovely to see these people come together.

to find others in a similar situation to themselves

and celebrate in some of their own tradition.

Attadale Rotary held their first get together for 2023 on Monday night.

as a sundowner picnic or BBQ at Point Walter

. Many thanks must go to Colin McCulloch for organising the very enjoyable event.

and for providing a gazebo and barbecue at this lovely spot.

Despite the windy conditions those who were able to be there enjoyed

this relaxed and friendly opportunity to catch up.

It was really lovely to see honorary members Gillian Baker and Greg and Helen James.

Many thanks to Gail McCulloch for the following photos.

Jim Calcei, Winston Marsh, Greg James, Martin Houchin,

 Jeff Spickett, and Mick Donnes

are pictured with Betty Bright,

(a rose amongst all the thorns).😀

Evadne Spickett, Viv Donnes and Jenny Calcei pictured.

with Rodney Rate (a thorn amongst the roses).😀

Three lovely ladies, Joyce Smith, Helen Carwardine

and Gillian Baker all enjoying the cool January night.

Annual FISH and CHIPS night to start 2023.

 Happy New Year to all.

Great night, even the mosquitoes joined in.

Thank you to all members, partners, and friends for an enjoyable evening.

In Vocational Service month,

it was great to welcome Irene Walker from

the Apprentice Employment Network - WA

to tell members all about this great charity we support

and to meet some of the winners of the 2022 Awards for Excellence

Earlier this week a few of our members volunteered.

to cook up breakfast at Camp Opportunity.

A huge shoutout to Tony Nguyen

who recently joined REQ and put his hand up to help out.

Deb Hamblin Mayor City of Rockingham

Thank you Rotary Club of Palm Beach WA Inc

for building 12 new penguin boxes trialling

a new material to save our penguin population.

We were busy little beavers at last night's Petticoat Lane.

Well done to all Rotarians who helped out, plus non-Rotarians

including Peter, Stuart, Lynne and Peter, Val, and Brian.

In total, it seems likely we will have raised over

 $3000 for various community projects.

*      We’ve enjoyed a few weeks off from socials ⭐️

*      NOW it’s time to share about our amazing GUEST SPEAKERS

*       who join us on a Monday evening to share about anything / everything?

*      ✨Recently we have heard from:

⚡️Paul, a local gold medal Paralympian working right here in Geraldton.

🌟Joanne Fabling from Mid-West Chamber of Commerce and Industry- MWCCI

☀️Rohan Norris from Norris & Hyde I.T.
