Corrin Caine, who was a member some 20 years ago before moving south, the manage a caravan
park. as opposed to a new member, but whatever
category he falls into , we're very glad he has chosen
to return to RCWP. Anthony Pyle was honoured
earlier in the evening with a Paul Harris Fellow Congratulations to John Bylund who was
awarded this year's Paul Harris Fellow pin for his passionate commitment and many years
of service to the Collie and broader community. Humbly received and well deserved.

Thanks for his contribution to the club including the Boat Raffle and Time Capsule. A testimony to President Di's
leadership and commitment over the past year saw her voted the Rotarian of
the Year for 2022-23.

There was much fun and laughter
at the 63rd Rotary Club
of Melville’s Changeover last night . Congratulations to
Presidents Peter Smith for an awesome year. and to Philip Draper for the year to come. We are thoroughly enjoying this season of
changeovers!
In-coming President (2023/24) Fran Temby was introduced by Brian and welcomed by the group. Fran stated it is an honour to be a Rotarian and an honour to be a member. of this very special Club (Rotary Margaret River). How wonderful, to be at the Rotary Club of West Perth changeover dinner tonight. Here I am as the last District Governor for
District 9455 on the last ‘day’ for that District, beside
PDG Ian Hutton , who was the first DG for
D9455, 13 years ago. PDG Geoff Simpson was a great MC
tonight. as Ian handed over the Club
Presidency to President Tony Delich, a great night!
We’ve just had a terrific time with Rotary Club of Busselton Geographe Bay for the changeover from President Bernie
master’s to President Ron Mildenhall, what a
vibrant group of people making a difference to others near and far. I will also confess I thoroughly enjoyed receiving
an Award for Bravery!

This Tuesday evening, we held
our “Changeover Night” at which President Peter Warren handed
over the club presidency to a man half his age . We’re delighted Anthony Steven Pyle is
now President of the Rotary Club of Armadale for the 2023-24 year. It was great to have members and friends. join us on this auspicious occasion, including some members of the Rotary Club of
Gosnells. Anthony also was honoured
earlier in the evening with a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his hard work
and enthusiasm over the past couple of years, applying his skills in grant applications,
event planning, social media and helping us see things from a
youthful perspective. At the end of the evening,
Anthony introduced his Board of Directors.
What a wonderful night last
night was. We hosted our end of the Rotary year
changeover dinner. , where some very big
announcements were made. Thank you to Woodvale Secondary College for
hosting the night. Onto the announcements: We were able to finally thank
Steve and Rana for their massive contribution at the Rotary Club of Hillary’s Carine
Community Fair, as well as present a certificate of
appreciation. to Farida for her contributions to the club. We also announced our Rotarian
of the year. , or should I say Rotarians as
the award was unprecedently awarded. to 2 of our members, being Dilo
and Troy for their contribution
throughout the year. We also announced the sad news
of Heather and Ray departing from our club to
continue their adventures. On a happier note, we were proud to announce Linda would once
again. be taking the role of President. and youth coordinator, with
Teresa as secretary, Troy as Treasurer, Dilo for Club
Service, Ruby for Vocational, Peter for International and Lauri for
Community Service. We look forward to a new chapter
as we head into the new Rotary year. Thank you to everyone who
attended and made the night such a success.

another successful year for our Club. We farewelled and thanked Wilma and her 22/23
committee and welcomed President Alta and her new
committee for 23/24. With the Rotary International theme ‘Create
Hope in the World” we look forward to a great year ahead filled

positions were announced. at a wonderful formal change-over dinner held at the Bridgetown Lawn Tennis Club
function room. on Monday June 26th. Invited guests present included. Shire of Bridgetown- Greenbushes President
Jenny Mountford and CEO Tim Clynch
, Incoming Assistant District
Governor Jenni Wilkie for the new amalgamated Rotary
WA District. Also present were
representatives of local Lions, Probus and the
Manjimup Rotary Clubs. Rotary Bridgetown has instigated a new
classification. of member being the Associate
Member. 6 of the 9 Inaugural Associates were inducted.
The formal changeover process
was punctuated. with light-hearted fun and much laughter. The talented trumpeting duo from Winnejup were given a rousing applause. for their rendition of "Can
you Feel the Love Tonight" and "Tijuana Taxi". We look forward to seeing
another performance. among with other talented locals
at Rotary's Up Close and Musical evening on September 9th at Bridgetown Repertory Club.

Our 36th Handover night
("Star Struck")at Royal Perth Golf Club hit the notes of friendship,
entertainment, and fun. "Oscar" took centre
front on each table. and Groucho Marks ( AKA Kelly Gillen) MC'd the
night with natural aplomb. Five members (L to R Brian Johnson, Astrid
Mitchell, Kelly Gillen, Lyn Metcalf and
Rick Sneeuwjagt) were awarded Paul Harris
Fellowships from President Veronica Lawrance. "Stars" included: Mae
West (Tricia Smith), several Blues brothers, Maria Von Trapp (Raelene
George), Top Gun Maverick (Brian Johnson), Bruce Willis (Jason Pellow), and several
wannabe starlets! A good night was had by all, and
the stars shone brightly!
Great Changeover night for the
club on Wednesday night. President Paul welcomed the many guests. and reviewed the clubs’
achievements in the last year. and outlined next year’s
programme with an emphasis. on further engagement with the
community. We sadly farewelled three or our staunch and
loyal members. ] We wish Jean Tait, Maisie
Vaughan, Stephen Lee all the best in the future. We also welcomed new member.
Phil Hince and his wife Heather . We look forward to a new
Rotary year. with its new challenges and goal
Change Over 2023 ------------------------------ A big thank you to the Bendigo Bank
for the contributions. to all the charities that help volunteers in
the Geraldton, Batavia Coast Rotary Club Shain forth and Rotary Club of
Greater Geraldton Geoff Wood, once again thank you.
Rotary provides some amazing
programs in our community, and Camp Inspiration is one of the best!! who our club supported to attend this
week-long camp in January. for people with Disability and shared about
the fun he had doing things like sailing, ten pin bowling,
biscuiting on the river, karaoke. and going to Adventure World - plus, the new people he met
and the friends he made. We agree with Shariq, who told
us. "You need to keep doing this camp"!
Community involvement &
community support is what we love doing! , to present another voucher in
the local community. This will be used to supplement
the Breakfast Club, provide learning essentials. and in some cases, warm clothing for students. of East Butler Primary School, with The Rotary Club of Mindarie’s Brian
Butterworth.
