At the 2023 Rotary International Convention in
Melbourne,
the
Karrinyup Rotary delegation responded to a request for Rotary
to supply hygiene kits to assist in educating at
risk children
in the
Goldfields in how to avoid trachoma and other diseases.
A team of volunteers worked hard to source and
prepare
the first
shipment of one hundred bags,
which have
now been delivered to the Goldfields Trachoma Team.
Plans are underway to provide further hygiene
kits.
Any contributions from clubs or individuals would
be most welcome.

The Victoria Park Rotary Club
collects
used stamps as a fundraiser.
The money they receive goes towards
disasters
in Australia
like
floods, fires, community in need
and
overseas projects.
Unfortunately, stamps are very scarce,
so we don't
make as much money
as previously, but every bit helps.
Contact Netta Nairn
if you have stamps to donate.
Please email Dave Taylor, District Secretary
here,
if your club collects used spectacles for
recycling
so, it can
be advertised to other clubs.
