Give a Feed provides Foodbank
WA with food hampers
to West Australian families in need.
To donate: www.giveafeed.com.au
In 2022 Give A Feed set a
goal of providing 3,000 hampers
so those families can
celebrate the festive season and not go hungry.
To reach our new 4000 target
we ask for your generous support,
please Give A Feed today and help us share
this message in the festive spirit.
Tens of thousands of West
Australian families will struggle
to put food on the table this Christmas.
Hunger is a growing crisis in
WA with at least half a million people struggling
to afford enough food to eat in the past year.
Sadly, more than 100,000 are children.
The 2022 Give a Feed festive
season campaign now underway
is a key Rotary service initiative
that all WA Rotarians can actively promote
with passion and vigour.
It's a great way to advocate
corporate gifting
right across the professional and business
community,
with family, friends, colleagues, staff,
customers and suppliers etc.
Your kind donation of $30
will provide a Give A Feed hamper
filled with festive food for a family of four
to enjoy.
Our hampers are packed by
volunteers and distributed by Foodbank WA
to ensure they reach those who are most
vulnerable in our community.
To donate, go to
and give hope to a WA family
in need this Christmas.
Thank you and Season’s
Greetings

Escalating Flood
Crisis
RAWCS is responding to the unfolding,
escalating flood crisis
by maintaining our National Flood Appeal
through
the Rotary Australia Relief Fund (RARF)
and by opening Rotary Australia Benevolent Society
(RABS) projects specific
to each flood affected area (these areas could grow
as flood waters move downstream).
Funds raised to date have been directed through
local Rotary Clubs to providing $500
Rotary Relief Vouchers to those whose homes
are uninhabitable and require
immediate assistance.
This is the preferred option of RAWCS
and is
the most appropriate use
of donated funds in assisting the flood
affected communities.
- RAWCS is seeking the support of Districts
- & local
Rotary Clubs to assist in the
- distribution of these relief vouchers within
- the affected communities.
- To provide the full benefit to these floods
- affected
communities RAWCS is seeking financial donations
- from Rotary Districts, Clubs, individuals, businesses
- and public to support these
projects using
- the RAWCS website project search and donate
- directly to the individual project
- using the on-line donation link

2022 - a year where Interplast made its first journey
back to the
Pacific since 2019.
The three-year period since Covid-19 saw travel impacted,
patient
waiting lists grow,
and conditions left untreated
. In November, our team of surgeons, nurses, and anaesthetists
made their way to Labasa and Suva
in Fiji
and met with patients waiting for
life-changing surgery.
In this month's news story,
we meet Moceiwei and his mum Loata from Labasa in Fiji.
We are privileged to share our patient stories
and the very real impact of Interplast's work.

Annual
Rotary breakfast at Manning Park
Great to thank the community involved with
Rotary.
Rotarians,
former Rotarians, and friends enjoyed
a
hearty breakfast.
Boronia
Women's Pre-Release Centre in Bentley
are
a long-term valued Community Partner of Como Rotary.
Last week they held their annual Celebration
Day,
with many deserving Certificates of
Achievement
handed out to the resident women,
having successfully completed many self-development
learning programs
.
Also, the Gala Day Award donation was made,
which represents the proceeds of the annual
Gala Day held at Boronia,
to a pre-selected local Charity Group.
We were advised that since the start of the
Boronia Gala Days in 2008,
a total of over $308,000 has been handed out
to many local charity groups,
which is an outstanding achievement due to the
collective great work
by many women at Boronia over the years
.
As shown here, this year Dress for Success Perth
were the selected beneficiary, with a cheque
for $39,384 presented.
This
is an amazing result, and wonderful support of the local community
by Boronia over the years.
Congratulations and well done to everyone at
Boronia.
Your long-standing community support is greatly
appreciated.
