It's been more than eighteen
months since Russia.
launched a full-scale
invasion of Ukraine.
An estimated five
million people remain displaced within Ukraine.
and almost six million are living as refugees
abroad.
A further four million,
seven hundred, people
have returned to their residence in Ukraine
after a period.
of displacement either
internally or internationally.
Humanitarian needs are
stubbornly high within Ukraine,
with occasional sudden increases prompted by
changing seasons
and the progress of the war.
Shifting frontlines mean some territory becomes.
newly accessible.
while, from others, people flee in search of
safety.
ShelterBox and its partners have already assisted
over 50,000 people.
and now we are launching our sixth project to help
a further 7,000 households.
with emergency shelter and household
aid items, like blankets, solar lights and
kitchen sets.
We need to raise $100,000 to
help fund this project.
Please donate today to help those affected
in Ukraine.
and provide lifesaving aid
for families affected by
and conflict around the world.

For the past few days our
volunteers
have been hard at working
in our newly constructed Bridge
building.
The bridge helps people cross
over obstacles together,
it folds gaps so that they are surmountable.
The work our volunteers did is a small but
essential part.
of the project behind Pamodzi
Ndi Ana.
The children with disabilities
come from far away,
in rural areas travelling many hours and
kilometres
bringing with them
their wheelchairs so that they can be.
assessed and fixed if needed.
While others come to receive their new
wheelchairs
or get their own wheelchairs
extended.
One small part in our small way
goes far in helping people.
. Through compassion, hard work,
and dedication we can ensure.
that those who are most vulnerable have a
chance at life
. Our work continues and we hope
to
help many more going forward.

This week, we're celebrating 30 years of community
spirit.
and togetherness during Men's Shed Week!
The Men's Shed initiative has been a shining
beacon.
in
Australia’s regional towns since 1993,
bringing
people together to tinker with machinery,
share a
cuppa with mates,
and have heart-to-heart conversations about mental
health.
The local Men’s Shed in Kulin
is housed in the original Butler’s Garage
which was opened in 1938.
The building
also operates as a museum,
inviting visitors to explore
a fantastic
collection of vintage cars,
heritage
farm equipment and a settler’s cottage
wonderfully restored by the community.
But that’s not all! In the spirit of inclusivity
, some Men's Sheds across Western Australia now
welcome women to roll up their sleeves.
and get
involved as well.
Let's use this week to check in on our loved
ones’.
in regional
communities.

APSN Chaoyang
School, Singapore was gifted.
30 handheld microscopes
by the Rotary Club Freshwater Bay on 28 August
2023.
The school immediately integrated the use of
the microscopes.
into the upper primary science
teaching curriculum.
A small group of students had
the chance to trial the use.
of the new learning tool and were fascinated
to see
the magnified images of organisms such as
butterfly’s legs and goldfish scales.
Teachers were equally excited to
include the new teaching.
and learning tool into their
science lessons.
They believe that the microscopes will help
students.
to develop a deeper understanding of science.
The handheld microscopes are a
valuable addition.
to the Chaoyang School Science
Department.
They will allow students to
learn about
the microscopic world in greater detail.
