ShelterBox is responding in Libya.

to support people whose homes.

have been severely damaged or washed away.

 by the devastating flooding.

More than 40,000 people are internally displaced.

across northeast Libya, and 20,000 are feared dead.

With whole neighbourhoods washed away, the situation is dire,

and there are growing concerns over potential disease outbreaks.

A ShelterBox response team is deploying to neighbouring Tunisia.

this week to meet with partners, confirming what support.

is needed and how we will work together.

We will be focusing our efforts on supporting those

 who have lost their homes.

and are now sheltering together in school buildings,

particularly as the colder months approach.

Depending on their needs, this could include providing.

much needed items such as blankets, gas stoves or kitchen sets.

We will be working with our trusted partner ACTED.

 to deliver our response.

ACTED were already working in Derna before Storm Daniel hit,

so, they have a strong presence in the region.

While we carry out this vital work,

we still urgently need your support.

Rotary Club Of Gosnells

2h  ·

On Friday Mama Respond, Rotary International

(Including 13 clubs globally)

and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australia)

officially handed over the special needs unit which we’ve

been planning, fundraising, and building for five years.

It was a bittersweet moment for Mama Respond

 as we finished a project.

so close to our hearts but knowing.

that we’re handing it over to an inclusive,

responsible, and engaged community is the sweetest thing.

Mama Respond will be lying low for a while as our

volunteers recover from years of hard work, and

celebrate a long-awaited marriage.

Stay tuned though, as we continue to share.

our recent Kenyan journey with you.

🚢Rotary Club Explores Esperance Port! 🌊

Monday afternoon, members of the Rotary Club of Esperance

embarked on an exciting excursion to Esperance Port,

thanks to the diligent efforts of Rotarian Stephen Schmedje

who coordinated this visit with Southern Ports.

*    Led by David McGrinder and Scott Bates from Southern Ports,

*     our Rotarians delved into the inner workings of the Port.

*    They gained invaluable insights into the Port's operations,

*     visiting various key areas, including

*    the shed housing spodumene.

But the adventure didn't stop there! Rotarian Hugh Mackenzie

of Mackenzie Marine and Towage graciously extended the excursion

by taking our members on an exclusive tour

of one of his formidable tugboats.

It was an educational and awe-inspiring day,

showcasing the incredible maritime world of Esperance!
