Welcoming our new member Stephanie Brindal
Steph is a Family Chiropractor born and bred in Perth.
After finishing her Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Chiropractic
at Murdoch University in 2013,
she moved to the Northern Beaches of Sydney where
she was living and working for 5 years.
Whilst in Sydney she had the privilege of been part
of a number of overseas health trips
to Manila, Philippines and Siliguri, India with
a group of Chiropractors and other Allied Health professions
providing Chiropractic and other health screenings.
Since moving back to Fremantle in 2019
she loves spending time with her family, getting down to the beach
and working with the Fremantle community.

Welcome to Fremantle Rotary Steph @ Fremantle, Western Australia

Updates and more information to come:

Youth mental health needs our attention.

Donate to our COVID-19 appeal today to support research
into the mental health of young Australians (aged 0-25):

'We give them hope, hope that whatever condition they
have can be treated and fixed at their level,
but also hope to the hospital and the trainees that they can
learn enough to be able to treat these conditions themselves.' Dr Mark Strahan
We thank our volunteers for their tireless pursuit of
Interplast's mission in repairing bodies and rebuilding lives.

Across the Asia Pacific region, Interplast volunteers are known
and recognised for providing exceptional patient outcomes
and capacity building to local partners.
Together, they deliver many programs including our innovative approach
to virtual mentoring and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We sincerely appreciate their work and celebrate their achievements
during National Volunteer Week.

Our sincere appreciation goes out to
Rotary International President Mark Maloney
for taking time out of his extremely busy schedule
to speak at our club's meeting tonight!

We had around 60 Rotarians and partners joining us
- it was lovely to welcome so many members of neighbouring clubs
as well as a couple of Past District Governors from Ohio.

After nearly 2 months of Rotary service under COVID - 19 restrictions,
it was a fantastic opportunity for Palm Beach Rotarians to return
to the excellent hospitality of the Clipper Hotel
for a combination face to face and ZOOM Meeting.
A HUGE thank you to Dean and Natalie for making
 the evening especially enjoyable.

Members had lots to share and many more activities
to do together as we move towards the conclusion
 of our 2019/2020 Rotary Year.

At last night’s meeting our president Richard
informed members that our very own

had been selected as the District Representative for the
MY HOME project being supported by Rotary Clubs in District 9455
as part of the Homelessness Hub.
The Homeless Hub was set up to support homelessness projects
 in District 9455,
to link Rotary to the WA homelessness agencies
and to advocate for homeless people within the WA Community.

MY HOME is an innovative project that takes advantage
of surplus state government land to provide housing
to homeless women aged 55 and over.
The proposal involves the construction of self-contained single bedroom units
that would remain in place for a period of 15 years
and would be considered an ‘interim use’.
Lightweight flat pack construction would allow for the removal
of the units if and when the land is required for its reserved purpose.

Congratulations Kay and well done!

Our club is pleased to mentor 5 International University Students
as part of The Rotary Global Citizen Award.
It is a unique opportunity for overseas students
to help develop lasting career connections and networks in Western Australia,
participate in volunteering projects to build community involvement,
 increase professional and personal development,
and become of the Rotary Global family.

With the easing of restrictions on lock down,
a number of members and partners enjoyed some good fellowship
last Saturday evening with a Guess Who's Coming to Dinner meal.
 Several couples acted as hosts,
not knowing who was coming to dinner until their allocated guests
 arrived on their doorstep.
A great night was had by all, with everyone appreciating
the opportunity to see each other in person after weeks of isolation.

Our generous friends from Rotary Western Endeavour!

Adorable Woodland Critters Captured
 on Hidden Camera in Quebec

All across the country, animals are kicking it into high gear
as spring progresses and temperatures begin to climb.
From the heart of Quebec’s forests, these critters are ramping up,
whether it’s doing some serious spring cleaning,
looking for a mate, or trying to feed lots of hungry mouths,
animals are very busy this time of year.
