Guest Speaker ( Rachel attended the Wooroloo and Gidgegannup Muster
which also had representatives from the City of Swan, Shire of Mundaring,
Mindaroo Foundation and Parky Care.
The push is on to remove non-native plants from the local area,
some of which have a high fuel load and so increase the fire risk
. A tour was then done on part of the KEP track near the Wooroloo Hall
pointing out these plants which include many varieties of acacia’s.
The community is being made aware of these issues to become
more
resilient prior to the potential catastrophic bush fire.
