On arrival in Kalgoorlie the Ebikers Team was met outside the Town Hall
by Mayor of Kalgoorlie Boulder, John Bowler
who welcomed us to the City.
We were also met there by Nick Strong,
General Manager of Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines
who surprised the team with the presentation of a cheque for $10,000 from
Northern Star Resources, owner of KCGM.
In presenting the donation to the 2022 Great Ryde to Kalgoorlie fundraiser
Nick Strong said “We are thrilled to partner with Bicycles for Humanity WA,
whose team of volunteers are passionate about creating positive outcomes
for regional and remote communities.
” The photo shows Mayor Bowler standing between KCGM GM Nick Strong
and B4H WA Director David Tucker, shaking hands,
with Ebikers
Directors John and Marie Schelfhout.
Mayor Bowler then invited the Ebikers team and supporters,
and KCGM representatives to join him for refreshments in the
Council Chambers.
The other photos show the team gathering at their Kalgoorlie hotel for a welcome rest,
and the next day on a short bike ride around the sights of Kalgoorlie,
including a visit to the Super Pit lookout
B4H WA Board, Management Committee and all members and volunteers
are extremely grateful to Ebikers < https://ebikers.com.au/>

The Rotary Club of Bunbury donates to Foodbank each year.
Foodbank is a great organisation which provided
48 tons of food in June this year.
The Club donation of $1500 was raised to $4000 by
additional private
donations from Rotarians and members of the public.
Dennis Evans, Vicky Campbell and Gay Zayer from the Club
purchased and delivered the items that were in short supply.
The purchases were shared between shopping centres.
The staff at Foodbank very much appreciated the donations
and the Rotarians enjoyed this exercise.
The Rotary
Club of Bunbury will continue to support this great service.
