Announcing that Patricia Schraven has been appointed as the
District Governor Nominee for District 9423.
This means Pat will be DG for Rotary Western Australia
for 2024-25.
Pat is highly experienced, having been District Governor
for D9465 in 2021-22 .
She has been very involved in the creation of the new
District Leadership Team structure,
which is so beneficial as we start our new District,
Pat is well known too 9465 clubs
and will put the objects of Rotary at the forefront of her term
going forward with Rotary Western Australia

New Members Welcomed
Another exciting night when THREE new members
were inducted.
35 members and friends attended the meeting to congratulate
them on their membership.
President Deb Atkins and Membership Director Martin Sadle
welcome new members, Bridget Jones, Mandi McGrath and Allan Oakes.
That’s 8 new members in the past two weeks.

As part of our engagement with the Western Australian community,
we are encouraging all Rotaractors and Rotarians
to participate in the Perth Pride March on Saturday 26 November 2022
to show our support for the LGBTIQ+ community
and demonstrate that Rotary is a diverse
and inclusive organisation.
The Pride Parade March returns to James St Northbridge
and will be much more interactive and a lot easier
to manage the
logistics for all.
With the change The Pride Parade is anticipating an significant increase
to audience from last year and will also be live streamed
to various venues around Perth and Online.
The
organisers are expecting over 5,500 participants Marching.
We need your support and participate in our Pride March by Rotary WA.
The event is free.
To register your attendance in the March,
we require you to complete a registration form by Thursday 11 November.
All

Wrist bands will be issued on the day of the event
and will be determined by the names on

Apart from that we encourage to bring some colour
and pizzazz to the rest of your attire.

The Kalamunda Club was honoured to receive the Community Activation award
for our service to the local community
at the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce awards night last Saturday Night.
The award was accepted by our President Dan Pearce
and member Sheryl Jury.
The club was also excited to present the Outstanding Creative Enterprise
award to Ben Baarspul from Project Scape Australia.

On October 25 our Club enjoyed a now-annual End Polio Now Sundowner
- great sunset, good company and a spectacular setting
at the MAAC
Marmion Angling & Aquatic Club…
$8000 donation funds key education projects in
Uganda.
Our club recently donated $8000 to the Assisi Centre
for Justice and Peace in Uganda to further their programs.
Emily Nabakooza Rotary Peace Fellow Graduate
has led the delivery of all 3 projects on budget and ahead of time.
Emily is operating in a very challenging environment
to deliver water security at Ugandan schools
and improving the lives and education outcomes for so many students.
Our project support has now positively impacted
the lives of nearly 5000 students!
A big of thank you to everyone to everyone that came along
to last Thursday's REQ Club Summit.
Special mention of Cam Calkoen - Inspirational Speaker
and and newly inducted member Kafar,
both of whom inspired us very with different tales
of triumph over adversity.

May Peace Prevail On Earth
- is the message inscribed on the Peace Pole in English,
Noongar, Mandarin and French, provided by
Rotary Club of Cambridge, Western Australia,
to Churchlands Primary School.
I was delighted to don my UNAMID peacekeeping shirt and deliver
the UN Peace Message to the teachers, parents and students.
Thank you to Jeanette and Jeremy from Cambridge Rotary,
Ms Morgan and students,
and my friend and Deputy Mayor of the
City of
Stirling Stephanie Proud.
Thank you once again Christine for participating in this project
with us. It is such an important message.
Unfortunately the weather came in early yesterday,
so the fly-in day ended prematurely.
However, the club cooked over 450 sausages,
there were some great displays of aviation
and a few nice cars as
well!
A big thank you to Tom, Denise, Chris T, Chris R, Brenda,
Ramone, Lindsay, Julie, Sarah,
Wendy & her daughter for coming
along to help out!
We served about 400 items of food at last night's
Raising the Vibe concert for Youth Mental Health.
A big thank you to all the
Busselton Rotarians who helped out on the night.
A fantastic evening was shared with members and friends at the
last night
. A competitive but fun event with lots of laughs, great food
and new friendships.
