September is New Generations Month
Every year, thousands of talented and dedicated
young people, ages 12-30,
have an incredible experience in a New Generations
program.
As Rotaractors and Interactors, they serve in communities at home and
abroad.
Through Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures.
And as Rotary
Youth Leadership Awards participants,
they learn skills that will help them
succeed as future community leaders.
New Generations is Rotary’s fifth Avenue of Service

Perth-Burswood, accepting a cheque for $2254.55 from House Captains James
Lewisson and Laura Kieley, together with Head of the Senior School of All
Saints College Bull Creek, Mr Steve Young.
This
money was raised by the Senior School following the Pasar Malam, a Twilight
market, held on the 17th February 2012 in the school grounds where a ShelterBox
was on display.
Steve
Young was one of the many people who showed interest in ShelterBox at the
event, and the money was enthusiastically raised by the students with a sausage
sizzle and a cake bake, and topped up by the Parents and Friends Society from
entry donations.

A
lawyer was cross-examining a witness:
"You have just testified that you heard the shot at
exactly 11:32 p.m.?
How did you know what time it was? Did you look at
your watch?"
"No," the witness said. "I looked at the sundial in
the garden."
"That's absurd," screamed the lawyer. "How could you
tell time by a sundial at 11:32 at night?"
"I had a flashlight," the witness said.
