Rotary Club of Albany Port

One of the major community activities for Albany Port rotary each year
 is organising the gates for the collection of entry fees
 at the annual Albany Classic Motor Event.
 This is achieved with our members working with other community groups.
 The Club in turn receives 25% of the takings which
 is distributed across all groups involved, 
a substantial fundraising achievement for them all.

 in our community through a variety of programmes.
 Neave, Ella and Nathan were chosen to take part in
 the ConocoPhillips Science Experience recently.

Last night Our club had its annual Past Presidents dinner 
at Cutler & Smith.
 This cohort of people come together to hear about 
Rotary’s current Presidents year and the incoming Presidents goals for the year. 
The Past Presidents also take a moment to give the
 incoming president advice about the year to come.
 This is a tradition of our club going back for many years
 and it is wonderful to see it continuing again.

The Shire of Murray President Cr. David Bolt 
was presented with a cheque (value $2,500-00)
 by the Rotary Club of Pinjarra as the Club’s donation
 to the Shire’s St John’s Anglican Church Restoration Fund
 when he attended a recent Club meeting

Congratulations to Pinjarra Rotarians recently awarded by The Shire of Murray.
 Certificate of Appreciation to volunteers who have reached
 a 10 year or 20 year milestone and recognising the valuable contribution 
of longstanding volunteers within community organisations.

 about his new venture to recycle PET drink bottles
 into filament for 3-D printers. 
This will be the first plastic recycling in WA.

 had an interesting and informative visit to Australian Marine Complex
 hosted by Jonathon Smith.

Jonathan is the General Manager for the Marine Complex
 and has been instrumental in marketing the facilities
 and growing the usage and depth of the services offered.

This week we had the pleasure of having Marge Williams,
 wife of longtime member Greg Williams, 
speaking to us about Foodbank.
 As many people will recall, two years ago Marge was awarded
 a Rotary International Partner Service Above Self award 
in recognition for her work with the Gilmore College Breakfast Club
. Through her work with the breakfast club 
Marge became familiar with Foodbank
 and the service it provides for the community.

 helping keep our local community safe.

Street Chaplains work on the streets of our State’s cities and towns. 
They provide crisis pastoral care unconditionally to any in need.
 The chaplains offer compassion and practical help to all who need and want it.
 They always work in teams providing first point of care resources.
Our contribution assists The Street Chaplain Team
 in maintaing their essential back packs

Matthew Pham, will be doing the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 
to raise money for the homeless.
 He will be sleeping in the cold to experience 
what many have to endure on a daily basis.

Stitches of Hope 
for kindly donating the sleeping bag 
and for their continuous work to assist the homeless

Rotary Club of Palm Beach WA Inc is extremely grateful

and today, Rotary Beach-Side Festival Chairwoman 
Claudia Wells and Coordinator Kev McDonnell presented 
Captain Delamont with a small plaque to show our appreciation
 for the assistance provided to the Festival. 
He said it was going to go straight to the pool room.

Rotary Club of Busselton Geographe Bay

Our Club hosted some 65 bike riders who are raising money
 to support the fight against domestic violence.
 They're riding from Busselton to Perth this weekend -
 168km today to Mandurah! 
A great bunch of people and the Club was pleased
 to provide them with a meal and the opportunity
 to tell us more about what they're doing and why.
 And, if you look carefully, 
you'll see president Roger enjoying his dessert!
