Rotary Club of Albany Port



One of the major community activities for Albany Port rotary each year
 is organising the gates for the collection of entry fees
 at the annual Albany Classic Motor Event.
 This is achieved with our members working with other community groups.
 The Club in turn receives 25% of the takings which
 is distributed across all groups involved, 
a substantial fundraising achievement for them all.

Last night Our club had its annual Past Presidents dinner 
at Cutler & Smith.
 This cohort of people come together to hear about 
Rotary’s current Presidents year and the incoming Presidents goals for the year. 
The Past Presidents also take a moment to give the
 incoming president advice about the year to come.
 This is a tradition of our club going back for many years
 and it is wonderful to see it continuing again.

This week we had the pleasure of having Marge Williams,
 wife of longtime member Greg Williams, 
speaking to us about Foodbank.
 As many people will recall, two years ago Marge was awarded
 a Rotary International Partner Service Above Self award 
in recognition for her work with the Gilmore College Breakfast Club
. Through her work with the breakfast club 
Marge became familiar with Foodbank
 and the service it provides for the community.

They provide crisis pastoral care unconditionally to any in need.

Matthew Pham, will be doing the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 
to raise money for the homeless.
 He will be sleeping in the cold to experience 
what many have to endure on a daily basis.

Rotary Club of Busselton Geographe Bay


Our Club hosted some 65 bike riders who are raising money
 to support the fight against domestic violence.
 They're riding from Busselton to Perth this weekend -
 168km today to Mandurah! 
A great bunch of people and the Club was pleased
 to provide them with a meal and the opportunity
 to tell us more about what they're doing and why.
 And, if you look carefully, 
you'll see president Roger enjoying his dessert!
