towards nomination to attend the National Youth Science
Forum (NYSF)
in Canberra each year.
In a partnership with Swan Districts Rotary
spanning over a decade Helena College
has averaged a selection of two
outstanding young students each year
to attend the NYSF in Canberra.
This is an
outstanding achievement and reflects highly of Mr Offer,
the science department
and the high academic standards
in place at Helena College."

honored Lauren Darge, our GRSP (Georgia
Rotary Student Program)
Georgia Gwinnett College student from Perth, Australia,
as a Paul Harris Fellow for the fine
qualities she has displayed
during her academic year with us.
From the
delightful recap of her experiences and the insights she gained,
which she also
presented to Duluth Rotarians this morning,
Lauren, no doubt, will be a
wonderful goodwill ambassador
wherever life takes her.

This is Swan Valley Rotary Club’s second year being involved
with the
“Days for Girls” project.
We have just completed our latest commitment of 100

sustainable menstrual packs each year.
This year’s packs will be distributed

Funds are raised by holding a High Tea in the Swan Valley in
October.
Profits come from donated raffle prizes, and go towards purchasing
material
and supplies to make up the packs.
Volunteers for the three sewing
days come from friends
and family of Rotary, including Inner Wheel.
Contact numbers for
Swan Valley Rotary,
if you are interested in donating, the High Tea or sewing,
