 At Foodbank WA this week, Rotary WA and key Give a Feed supporters. packed 3,000 hampers for vulnerable families. this festive season. Give a Feed is a great way for clubs! and businesses to recognise outstanding people. Clubs can gift hampers to acknowledge. the efforts of local community leaders, quiet achievers and unsung heroes. Businesses can thank great employees, customers or suppliers etc. Acknowledge the value of your networks, and your
family and friends.  Rotary WA's "Give a
Feed" is off to a flying start after a warm welcome
to around 90 local champions at the
2023 launch last night. . Thanks to all who attended and
became advocates. for this fantastic initiative to
fight hunger over the coming festive season. To donate: Guests were treated to some
great food from Henry M's chefs, innovatively created from basic hamper items. Thanks to Henry M's fabulous
staff for your volunteer support, and to suppliers of wine and beer for
hospitality for our guests. Give a Feed founders Wayne Smith
and Aaron Pitt were recognised as Paul Harris
Fellows for their ongoing commitment. to this program since 2011. To December 2022, Give a Feed has created over 30,000 hampers,
raised over $815,000. and provided a festive meal to
over 120,000 vulnerable Western Australians. In 2023 our target is 3,000
hampers, let's knock that for six. #rotarywesternaustralia #rotaryoutwest #GivingIsContagious

last meeting. as a new member. of the Rotary Club of Mt Lawley and we warmly welcome Ian. and look forward to his
contributions within our club.
      Polio is on the brink of
eradication. Here's how to keep it from coming back. The campaign to eradicate polio
could succeed. in the next few years. But that’s just the beginning of a new
challenge. keeping it away.

their children in Australia has an annual
economic cost of $22 billion.

  Rotary Kalamunda, together with
the Soroptimists WA and the Rotaract Clubs of Swan and Belmont are extremely proud to support
Foodbank WA and help those in need at this
Christmas time. We will be holding a food drive
on Dec 9, 2023, from 8am – 2pm at the following locations: Coles in
Kalamunda, High Wycombe, and Swan View, at Woolworths in Kalamunda, Dunseith Village
(Perth Airport) and at Aldi Kalamunda. We all believe that everyone
should have access to a healthy meal. However, there are Western Australians going
without every day. and Foodbank WA are working hard
to change that. In the last financial year, Foodbank WA has provided almost 7.8 million
meals. to Western Australians through their charity
partners and schools. Please come and support this

on again. Rotary with Chamber Commerce and
Moora CRC donate the Shop local awards for all winners. Residential Display Business House display People’s Choice Award     Please note that you MUST
purchase. a ticket online if you'd like to come. Tickets cannot be obtained
at the door. The arrival time is 5:30pm for a 6pm start, and the dinner will finish approximately 8pm.    August 2016        Another fabulous night spent with committed Rotarians. doing good in the world. We met with people from Rotary Club of Western Endeavour, And Rotary Club of Mosman Park - Cottesloe it was great to catch up with them all.
        It's amazing to hear the kind of
impact and change we and all of our generous supporters have been
able to encourage. Thank you to everyone who donated. "On behalf of the 4000
disadvantaged people who will have their sight returned . as a direct result of the
Bulldust N Back this year, we would like to thank you for
your generous contribution. Our team of 15 self-funded
volunteer Optometrists will leave for Sri Lanka as in 2
months' time. They will travel by bus for
about 6 hours to the remote villages east of Ampara and set up an Eyecare camp for a
week. During this week they will see
thousands of people whose eyesight is poor and who
do not have. any Optometry services available
to them. We test the eyes, provide free
glasses and sunglasses to them. Those needing surgery will be triaged and
appointments. and travel arrangements made for
their surgery for which. Global Hand Charity has arranged to fund the
Lenses. and surgical consumables. You and your supporters have
made an amazing contribution. to this Eyecare Camp which

 Great to see some highlights and
an astounding $21,239. raised towards the various charities. by team Beetlejuice on the
Bulldust N Back. Really proud of our little rotary beetle and great to see the funds go towards some
great causes.
      And they're off! Eighteen Rotary Youth Exchange Inbound
students, and three chaperones, left this morning. for an exciting 6 days in
Sydney. There was much chatter and laughter even
before they got on the plane, so it’s bound to be a
fun filled trip! Enjoy every minute students!     A successful “Lift
the Lid Walk” was held at Viveash. raising funds for Australian Rotary Health. Swan Rotarian Karen
Beale was the project leader. with strong support
from Club Members, families, and friends.
    At our last meeting our club had
the pleasure of awarding the Charles Cornish Trust Award
for 2023 to Madison Malins for her outstanding academic
efforts and achievements. The objective of the trust is to
assist students. who are vision impaired by providing specially designed equipment to assist their learning. Congratulations Madison and we wish you every
success. with your future studies using
your new computer
  
  Last week our club had the
absolute pleasure of welcoming. the Esperance Primary School TOM Team to our
weekly meeting- to say we were super impressed would be an
understatement! What wonderfully intelligent,
thoughtful well-spoken children! Our future leaders and change
makers for sure! We can see why they came away from the International Tournament of Minds with the
trophies!
     We had another fantastic
community dinner last night. Lovey to welcome back old friends. and meet new friends from Subiaco and
surrounds. Our delicious 3 course dinner
was enjoyed by all, we were entertained by musician Danny Gunzberg and once again had a fantastic door prize
raffle with awesome prizes. Thanks to all our amazing
volunteers especially the Canning Rovers and everyone else who made it
possible. Also a big shout out to Bethany and BJ from
The Third Place who are always so supportive. Our next dinner is on 27
February. The Third Place Subiaco Canning Rover Unit

anniversary! Wonderful supporters of many in the local
community, and we are very proud of our. long standing Community Partnership which has allowed us to support. many in need in the local community.
         members were honoured to be
invited to the City of Rockingham – Local Government Annual Recognition event this
evening. It was a pleasure to
acknowledge. the Rockingham community's
achievements over 2023 and to celebrate the wonderful
city we all enjoy.
  This evening's annual Club Forum
was made. all the more special with a surprise visit from Deb Hamblin Mayor City of Rockingham . Mayor Hamblin expressed her
thanks to club members. for their outstanding community contribution to the City of Rockingham through the Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup and Rockingham Street Art Trail.
 The Community Committee led by
Director Laurie Smith are delighted with the
generosity of members in providing. Christmas Food Packages for distribution by
the Rockingham Salvation Army this year. aims to distribute 600 packages
before Christmas. Let us know if you wish to contribute.
  The Rotary Club of Belmont
provided a sausage sizzle today. at the Maylands Aquatic Park for WANSLEA FOSTER CARE family and kids. The BBQ was a great success and
much appreciated. and recognised by Wanslea. . Many thanks to the
contribution and commitment made by Carlo and Sue in organising the BBQ including two dry runs
testing the site BBQ. Many thanks to the volunteers for the prep and cooking of sausage and rolls. (Sue, Carlo, Gail, Bryan, Liz, Julie and

    This week a group of Rotary Club of Karrinyup members enjoyed a most
informative. and enjoyable vocational visit to the InfraBuild facility in
Forrestfield. Thank you to InfraBuild for the
warm and to Nick for organising the
experience.
 Visitors are always welcome at our meetings. and International Director Sandra McGuire was delighted. to make very welcome this week's visitor Challis Wilson . As a previous stallholder at our Stirling Farmers Market, Challis is known to many of
our long-term members. and is herself quite familiar with the fundraising aspect of our
club. Attending on the evening of
the the Annual General Meeting and project update gave her another insight. into our club. She enjoyed
the evening.   Another great day out in our
community, this time at the Goldfields Arts Centre 30th Birthday Celebrations. Our BBQ Trailer was out again. and doesn't the marquee look
fantastic. Huge thanks to the for the donation of food for the
day. Time is running out to grab your
tickets. in the Christmas Stocking Raffle, drawn on Saturday 16th December. at the Coles Shopping Complex.
                                              An evening with John Worsfold Fundraising for Youth Mental
Health in Collie Collie
Rotary and Collie Eagles Football club invite you to join us for a special evening
with John Worsfold, former AFL player and coach, as we come together to raise funds for youth
mental health in Collie. This in-person event will be held at the Collie
Eagles Football Club located
