Good afternoon all
I appreciate you will all be busy with your Club &
District Changeovers
and settling into your new year,
however planning
needs to progress for this visit by Susanne Rea
I have been very honoured to have Susanne Rea
agree to come
to Western Australia to expand the work
she is doing globally for End Polio
Now.
If you would like more information on Susanne
and the work she does please
check out her Facebook page Susanne Rae.
Susanne has agreed to come to Western Australia
and attend
meetings and fundraisers to raise much needed
funds for End Polio Now.
DG
Melodie has asked me if I would coordinate the visit
and to find someone
or a small committee to organise this visit.
I am prepared to co-ordinate the visit,
but it would be
wonderful if some clubs in both
Districts 9465 and 9455 were able to assist.
Susanne looks after her own airfares
and only asks that we
look after accommodation
, on the ground transport and meals.
Susanne's programme up to today is
Wednesday 3
August
fly to WA from Cairns
Thursday 4 August
Friday 5
August
Rotary Club of Mill Point
Saturday 6 August
Sunday 7 August
Monday 8 August
Tuesday 9
August
Rotary Club of Applecross (Breakfast meeting)
Fly to Kalgoorlie
Joint Rotary Meeting (Kalgoorlie, Boulder, Hannans)
Wednesday 10 August Fly
to Perth
10.10pm fly to Dubai
NB: The Rotary Club of Mill Point have offered to host Susanne
during her stay and to transport her to wherever she needs to be.
If it is
going to be more convenient for your Club
to host Susanne and transport her to
your meeting please let me know.
Susanne will be hosted by George and Esther Roadnight in
Kalgoorlie
. They will look after her transport needs as well.
Would your club be interested in hosting Susanne
for your
meeting,a joint meeting of clubs
or some other event to assist District 9465
and 9455
raise much needed funds for End Polio Now.
I have approached a number of Clubs
so it would really be a
case of first in best dressed as a number
of you meet early in the week and
obviously the easiest way
would be to have Susanne at your meeting.
Once we have some clubs indicate they are interested
we can
further develop the logistics required
. ie. home hosting Susanne, her transport
to and from meetings
and her meals.
When you respond can you please let me know your Club name
and the best contact person in your club.
I hope this all makes sense.
If you would like further
info please give me a call
Cheers

From the left they
are Michelle Ford, Dee Potts, Mark Potts,
Eva Peacock, Allan Peacock, Colleen
Ross and Jackie Ryan
(of these Mark and Eva were there to support their
spouses,
but we will be working on them)
. Inducting these five new members
lifts our membership to 31
, ten of whom are ladies (making 32%).
This, we are
told,
is just a whisker short of the average percentage for Rotary clubs
worldwide.
