Rotary WA is proposing to establish a Dairy project
in Jaffna Sri Lanka to supply 20 milking cows
to widows affected by the war.
These milking cows will provide nutrient to the children
and any surplus milk will be sold to the commercial milk factory
for additional income to the family.
In view of this we are having a fund raising event
as per notice above to collect money for the project.

We are hoping that you may attend the dinner and help us
to raise funds for the project.
Total cost of the project is USD 120,000.00

Awesome meeting last night teamed up with Rotaract Club of Mt Lawley!
These guys normally meet at Henry on Eighth up the road
but last night we decided to have a joint meeting.
Good times and lots of laughs!

Our guest speaker was Rick Heath,
Executive Director of Performing Arts Connections Australia,
who presented some really interesting ideas about how we think
about people who are "like us" and "not like us"

Good times at our membership fireside chat at Swallow Bar

Rotary Club of Karrinyup

It's been a tough couple of months for our club,
 with several long-term members
on the 'ill list', including Sam, our very popular attendance officer,
who is battling a serious and ongoing illness.
While his wife Bec is dealing with Sam's illness, juggling a fulltime job
to keep the money coming in and a busy young family
- our members have been doing all they can to help out.
Karrinyup Rotarians and their families are helping where they can
with meals, babysitting, transport
- and today with a bit of a blitz in their backyard
. It's not what we really want - which is for Sam to get better
- but in the meantime, it is all we can do.
