Was fabulous to have a great turnout of young people at last night’s meeting
to hear about our 2018 Rotary Youth Exchange student, Jasmin’s, year in Spain

Jasmine spoke not only about all the wonderful and exciting things
she experienced in her Rotary Youth Exchange year,
but about the difficult times too - and how she grew by dealing with them
 - and the absolute pleasure she took in the amazing everyday experiences
that come with being immersed in a different culture.

President Robyn and Youth Exchange Officer Trish with Jasmine,
our recently returned Exchange Student, her good friend, April,
who was also our 2016 National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) student,
and visitor Ida from Denmark, who is back working in Perth.
Ida was an Inbound Rotary Youth Exchange student
, hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Quairading and Canning Vale in 2009.

Our youthful guests last night included returned and current Exchange students,
National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) nominees
potential Exchange students and an overseas visitor who had been a past Inbound.

with a cheque for $2000 towards the Container project
......thank you Rotary Club of Como for your support

The Rotary Club of Como
are proud community supporters of Carson Street School,
which is the state's only Education Support Primary School.
The wonderful staff provide extensive educational
and therapy services for the students.
Como Club recently approved a donation to purchase
a set of 15 new Sphero Ball robots for use by students.
These hi-tech teaching aids assist in the children's development
of their directional skills, depth perception and colour/sensory recognition.
They are operated by a tablet which can be used just like a joy stick.
Also they are a lot of fun as evidenced
by Como Club, Community Director John Dodman.
