October is Mental Health Month, and your hosts Gen EQ

want to put the spotlight on emotional well-being.

We are living in turbulent times; how do we support ourselves

and others to navigate the challenges we face?

We warmly welcome all REQ members and the broader community

to join us for our Squad Summit.

Squad Summits provide a window into the

Rotary of Elizabeth Quay culture and activities.

At these virtual gatherings are held every second month and a squad will host

an interactive presentation and conversation about our purpose:

 Inspiring and Facilitating Generosity.

These interactive 1-hour meetings allow club members to celebrate achievements,

share opportunities for volunteering, and understand how

the club is progressing across our strategic aspirations.

Community members will not only gain an insight into the culture of our club

but will be welcome to participate and nominate for future generosity opportunities.

This Squad Summit will be hosted by

Gen EQ: Dani, Ale Conradie, Boris, Andrew, and Levante

Due to circumstances outside our control
, we've had to change the dates of RYLA 2021
to the week of Saturday 9th January - 16th January.

Over the past number of years The Rotary Club of North Perth
has supported and organisation called Starting Over Support (SOS)
. Starting Over support is a community initiative dedicated
to supporting families and individuals escaping crisis situations in Perth.
The work of SOS is focused on providing free household goods
and furniture to those who have been referred by crisis refuges,
government and non government agencies when they
leave the security of a shelter or a refuge.
The Rotary Club of North Perth has supported them by way of cash or kind.
 They get no government support.
With  the aid of a District grant our club purchased on their behalf
11 fridges, 4 washing machines and 11 microwaves.
Total spend for these items was $5,000.00.
These will be distributed to families who are in most need.
SOS is located in Bayswater and support of household items
 and cash are most welcome.

The Margaret River Region

 is flowing!

Find this gem near Wilyabrup as you follow the 135km hike

that stretches along the coastline from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin.

Here at Quinninup Falls, known as the place of the zamia palm

, the Wadandi people used this special inland area to perform ceremony,
