We are launching a Community Project

and would love your support. 'CARE IN A BAG'

It is for women who have escaped domestic violence,

they sort help in a women's refuge and can no longer stay there

and now have to start out on their own.

We will supply you with a paper shopping bag.

We ask that you fill it with non-perishable pantry items

 or cleaning products.

Contact details are on the attached brochure.

This will be an ongoing project

. Once we have collected several filled bags they will be

donated to local Refuges for distribution.

Thank you for caring🌹❤️

SAIL INTO LIFE IN BUSSELTON IS ON AGAIN

The second Busselton Geographe Bay Rotary Club's

Sail Into Life session for 2021

Sail Into Life gives anyone who has never enjoyed the thrill

of sailing the chance to safely sail around the Port Geographe harbour

in the company of an experienced sailor.

People with a disability, able-bodied people including seniors

who simple want to enjoy the thrill of sailing, as well as volunteer helpers

are welcome to join us from 9.00am for a morning sail.

Even if you've sailed in the past, Sail Into Life allows you to rekindle

your thrill of sailing at minimal cost and without

the need to own your own yacht!

The small yachts sit low in the water and, even at modest speeds,

they give the feeling of zipping along, so the sailing experience is exhilarating.

So what did you do on your Sunday morning?

Belmont Secondary college teachers and an odd Rotarian raised funds

to plunge 220m. Cahoots is the charity that the team raised over $11,000.

20211106 Land and Mind Restoration Busy Bee (R)

Flashback to a couple weeks ago when a crew of REQ members

and friends headed out weeding the Banksia Reserve conservation area

by Murdoch University in partnership with MERG -

 the Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group.

Pulling out the invasive weeds which threaten Australia’s native flora

can be a very therapeutic exercise

, and some even use it as metaphorical experience

 for casting away intrusive thoughts

. A wonderful – though sometimes messy

– time was had by all.

RC North Perth joined us tonight for an action packed evening

of fun, fellowship and sharing of ideas.

...great to see your club going from strength to strength

Our members Bev and John Lowe and Loren Pratt carry out feeding projects

at Bassendean Oval on Wednesday and Fridays in conjunction

with Dr Raji from the Street Doctor being available to treat attendees,

plus Covid injections are also available for those requiring them.

Last Friday (12th November) Channel 10 spent several hours at the Lowe's home

interviewing Bev and asked PP Simone Collins about the RC Freshwater Bay's involvement

with the work of the Lowes and also her comments on them personally.

The RC Freshwater Bay's first projects, when it was chartered,

were working with Bev and we've continued to do so throughout the life of the Club.
