Summary:
To provide funds
for humanitarian programs to assist the people
in Tonga recover
from the volcano and tsunami disaster.
Challenge:
The effects of
the Volcano and Tsunami on January 15th
will be
far-reaching, impacting the Tonga Community for months,
possibly years to
come.
Communication
remains problematic with international
and inter-island
call still no possible due to the damage to the undersea cable.
Solution:
Rotary Australia
World Community Service (RAWCS)
will be working
with Rotary New Zealand World Community Service (RNZWCS)
and Rotary Club
of Nuku’alofa (Tonga) in providing aid
and assistance to
the affected communities’ and restoring their livelihoods
. RAWCS has registered
a Rotary Australia Relief Fund project
to seek financial
assistance from Rotary Clubs,
the public and
private sector.
Donations to
the
RAWCS Relief Fund are
tax deductible.
It is with great pleasure that we induct
our latest new member Wendy Jeffery.
The club and partners and kids celebrated the event
with a visit to the Jarrahdale Tavern.

DETAILS
BELOW:-
The Rotary Club of Attadale have kindly arranged for a training session to erect
and pack the ShelterBox tent to be held at their meeting on
Wednesday 2nd February
2022.
Training will commence at 1500 hours followed by their Rotary Club meeting
at the Swan Yacht Club, 71 Riverside Rd, East Fremantle, WA, Australia 6158,
which will commence at 1800 hours for a 1830 start.
The meeting will finish at 2000 hours after which training will
be given to pull down and pack the
tent.

Karrinyup Rotary congratulates our esteemed member
and Past President Peter Polain,
who has been named in the Australia Day honours
with an Order of Australia Medal (OAM)
for service to the Community in a variety of roles
. Peter led the Community Service Committee through
numerous major projects including the Karrinyup Community Men's Shed.
He took on a pivotal role in founding the Stirling Farmers Market,
acted as manager for nine years and
is still involved in the Management
Committee.

The City of Subiaco
Australia Day citizenship ceremony
The Rankin Gardens provided the perfect setting for the Australian Day
Citizenship Ceremony to become an Australian citizen.
60 new citizens from 29 countries around the world were sworn in at a ceremony
on Tuesday morning, becoming the City of Subiaco’s newest Australian citizens.
The Rotary Club of Matilda Bay provided the after-event breakfast.

to assist Jane and others

supporting their auction charity dinner.

the camp provides an amazing opportunity for young adults with special needs.
