The Nominating Committee,established for the selection of the District Governors of District 9455 and 9465 for Rotary year 2010 - 2011 interviewed all candidates for the position on Sunday May 17.

The successful candidates were:

District 9455: Ian Hutton from the Rotary Club of West Perth
District 9465: Marilyn Barton from the Rotary Club of Booragoon.


If there are any challenges to the above elections,in accordance with Rotary International Bylaw 13.020. they must be lodged with the Western Australia Redistricting Working Party, through the club and current District Governor before Tuesday 2nd of June.

Rotary Club of Western Endeavour

Ambassadorial Scholar Charlee Doom attende the meeting this week
to tell members a little about herself and her home.
Charlee is in Perth studying for a Masters in Business and
was born in Alaska and raised in Kentucky.
Charlee informed members that Kentucky is the horse and bourbon capitol of the world.
It was the birthplace of both men who were Prsidents during the Civil War.
It is well known for attractions such as Fort Knox and Mammoth Cave.
Charlee is a student at UWA, is an avid scuba diver, enjoys public speaking
and working with the Youth.
She is also an agricultural advocate and a travel enthusiast and has travelled to 30 countries.

Rotary Club of Victoria Park


The Victoria Park Rotary Club has as their Guest Speaker on June 9th,
.Gemma Sisia the Principal of The School of St.Jude in Tanzania.
The school is a RAWCS project and is well supported by
Rotary Clubs throughout Australia.
Gemma is touring Australia on a goodwill trip and is reporting to Rotary
on the success the school is having on the children of Tanzania.

Gemma is the recipient of a Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow for her work on this project.

RC Cannington presents the 40th Annual ladies’ Seminar and Luncheon,
Sat 6th June at the Hyatt Regency.
