One such scam claims that the recipient has been selected

Another scam still circulating claims that a deceased Rotarian
has left money to the e-mail recipient

The sender, who claims to be the executor of the will,
then asks for the recipient’s personal information,

-
I have had a longstanding desire to return to the goldfields
where I can use my skills as a physiotherapist
to provide much needed services to remote communities
and the Indigenous populations.
Having lived in Leonora my entire life,
I have seen first hand the hardship that many Indigenous Australians
experience due to diseases or disabling accidents.
My family and my Aboriginal background are well known

throughout the Goldfields.
Most have watched me grow up and have seen the journey I have made
in pursuing my studies.
I understand and speak some of the Wongutha language
and have always been seen as a leader among my peers
and the local community.
This puts me in a position where I inflict valuable changes
within theAboriginal Community
My commitment to my community, my people
and the respect I have towards my Aboriginal heritage would be essential
and I strongly feel that I’ll be able to improve
Indigenous health as a physiotherapist

Guest Speaker Tessa Jupp
Tessa is the CEO of Post Polio Network
Tessa Jupp spoke on the personal angle
and talked about the after effects of Polio on those it left behind.
There have been 3 epidemics in WA – 1948, 1951 and 1955
Each of these left victims.
The 1955 outbreak affected 6000 Western Australians
Polio doesn’t differentiate – it hits all walks of life
There was also rush for a vaccine in the early 50’s
and haste bought problems where some patients contracted
the disease as a direct result of the vaccination
The oldest Polio Survivor in WA was currently 105 and going well.
The last reported case as a 59 year old female
who contracted the disease in 1995.
There have been 5 cases since 1980.

"Quote of the Week"

SMILE!!!!!!!!

Bubba and Billy Bob
While Bubba and Billy Bob were in the local Wal-Mart,
they decided to get in on the weekly charity raffle.
They bought five tickets each at a dollar a pop.
The following week, when the raffle was drawn,
each had won a prize.
Billy Bob won 1st place; a years supply of gourmet spaghetti sauce
and extra long spaghetti.
Bubba won 6th prize;
a toilet brush.
About a week or so had passed when the men met back at Wal-Mart.
Bubba asked Billy Bob how he liked his prize,
to which Billy Bob replied,
"Great!, I love spaghetti!"
Billy Bob asked Bubba,
"How 'bout you, how's the toilet brush?”
"Not so good," replied Bubba,
"I reckon I'm gonna go back to paper."

A flying saucer landed at a gas station on a lonely country road.
The two space aliens inside seemed completely unconcerned about detection;
in fact, the letters "UFO" were emblazoned in big, bold letters
on one side of their shiny craft.
As the station owner stood and gawked in silence, paralyzed with shock,
his young blonde attendant nonchalantly filled up the tank
and waved to the two aliens as they took off.
"Do you realize what just happened?" the station owner finally uttered.
"Yeah," said the blonde attendant. "So?"
"Didn't you see the space aliens in that vehicle?!"
"Yeah," repeated the blonde attendant. "So?"
"Didn't you see the letters 'UFO' on the side of that vehicle?!"
"Yeah," repeated the blonde attendant. "So?"
"Don't you know what 'UFO' means?!"
The blonde attendant rolled his eyes
. "Good grief, boss!
I've been working here for six years.
Of course I know what 'UFO' means
'Unleaded Fuel Only.'"
