Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay
 One of our Pride of Workmanship Award recipients -
 Shannon Lovelady for her amazing work with identifying 
all the soldiers we enlisted in WA for the First WW
 and the 1023 who were killed in the Gallipoli Campaign.
 With Shannon are Ash & Sandy Joyce and Edi & Kev Skipworth
 the recently returned Agent General to London



Unfortunately, the photo of the presentation
 of the Pride of Workmanship Award to Mark Coughlan 
was less than best so until one can be sourced,
 here is a photo of the plaque and citation he was presented
 with for his Selfless Service and Dedication to Music in WA,
for his fostering and support of young talent and the time,
 talent and energy he contributes to enhancing 
and raising the musical culture in WA

Past President Dr. Ken Michael and David Bruns 
where two Pride of Workmanship Awards were presented.

 Amanda Blythe who is one of 78 females worldwide
 to be selected to participate in Homeward Bound to Antarctica.
 Amanda is seeking funds to assist with the trip.

The evening was organized by John Muir (B-G, formerly Manjimup)

 as a follow-up to one he went to in the Nannup Hall 20 years ago.
 65 members and guests enjoyed a very good meal
 and a most enlightening talk by  Ivan Sandler
 Past President f the Rotary Club of Ballajura Malaga,
 a former Pilot and Air Traffic Controller

 Exchange student from Finland, Riina Paappa,
 gave an excellent power point presentation
 about herself, her family and her country 
at Scarborough Rotary's breakfast meeting this morning.
 Riina is attending Churchlands Senior High school 
during her time in Australia — with Isabelle Chu

  Guest Speaker at  Meeting 31st August 
was Robert Pike, Business Development Manager at PBF
.He was Introduced By Rotarian Sheila Mills.
Robert Pike is the Business Manager for Paraplegic
Benefit Fund, he is also an inspirational speaker. 
At the age of
17 he survived a horrific car accident 
in which he lost three
friends and both of his legs.

Last Wednesday our guest speaker was Julie Caddy
 from Fremantle Library
We got to know Julie through our exhibition in the Library during Heritage Week.
 The Club became aware of the Early Literacy Program
 and this fitted well with one of our aims. 
We therefore decided to make a donation to assist with this program..
 Julie gave us a comprehensive overview of the Library Service
 and is pictured here with one of the books bought with our donation
