Pride of Workmanship Award winners Joel Mitton and Rosie
Sciacca.
CURTIN Stadium physiotherapist and accredited exercise physiologist
Rosie Sciacca has been awarded a Rotary Pride of Workmanship Award.
Instigated in 1975, Pride of Workmanship
is an approved vocational
Rotary project
which aims to help employees achieve the goal of job
satisfaction,
‘go the extra mile’ and publicly recognise them for their
efforts.
Mill Point Rotary Club member Colin Philip
nominated Ms Sciacca for this
year’s awards.
He said over the five years he had been attending Curtin Gym
he recognised
the exceptional professionalism
and friendly manner Ms Sciacca showed with each
and every client.
“Rosie has a beaming smile and lovely manner,
especially with the
seniors who attend her stretching
and mini yoga classes after their regular
workouts;
they absolutely adore her,” he said.
“She spends time with everybody,
chatting about their lives and their
fitness goals
, and motivates them with her gorgeous smile
and her infectious
personality.”
Last year Ms Sciacca won a Curtin University
Vice-Chancellors award for
the
Paediatric Active Enhanced Disease Surveillance program,
which works with
children who have disabilities and chronic conditions.
