Mental Health was founded 7 years
ago
to fill the gap in existing mental health services
for young adults (25+)
in Perth and Fremantle.
Bluebird believes that with the right support,

advice and actions, recovery from a mental illness is

The beneficiaries of the RC Mill point Eyecare project
through Global
Hand Charity are the
3000 people, young and old who are tested and checked for
eye disorder
s and given free glasses or referred to hospital for surgery if
necessary.

to talk about the Eddie Holmes Award.
The “Eddie Holmes Award” named after our
first President
is awarded to a ”a person deserving of recognition for his/her
contribution
to our community in a significant and continuing manner.

awardee will be a person who has given selflessly and
usually without reward
their time, skills, labour, guidance,
care, devotion to duty, etc be it to
individuals,
or a group or organisations needing assistance
.” Barry presented
this year’s Award to
Craig Allen for services to Cricket –
in particular to
supporting and promoting Junior and Women’s Cricket.
Rotary Club of Attadale
The Starlight Hotel Choir is a community choir whose members
have
experienced homelessness, hardship and mental health issues
at some stage in
their lives.
The choir is under the banner of St Patricks Community Support
Centre.
The choir lifts the spirit of these people and gives them a sense of
belonging
. The choir is in need of funding to continue
so the Rotary Club of
Attadale donated a cheque for $1,000.

The club has a proud history of hosting Rotary Exchange Students
for over 35 years, on occasions two in a year.
Our latest student, Cole Chiara from Hawaii,
gave his farewell address to the club last night.
Cole has been a credit to himself during his year of exchange,
which he explained had assisted him in his personal development
in terms of his self confidence and leadership abilities
. He further said he had experienced many wonderful travel opportunities
, including his trip to Sydney and the North West Safari,
with District 9465’s other exchange students.
