This is local Rotarian David Brockway.

Today he received a Citizenship Award

for long service as a volunteer to his community.

An amazing gentle soul who deserves community recognition.

Congratulations to George and Delys KING of Jarrahdale

This one goes out to all of our sponsors, donors, members, supporters

and our community in general for getting involved in the Radio Auction this year,

we managed to raise over $130,000 for our community.

We don't do what we do for awards and recognition, we do what we do for all of you,

however, we are very humbled to be singled out of all of the community groups and events.

Well done to all the award winners tonight and all of the new Australian Citizens,

 welcome to this amazing community.

Thank you all one again, and a special thank you to the

As seen in the photo  there was a fabulous turnout of

members/partners /friends to set out the tables and chairs on Australia Day.

Australia Day Big Breakfast was once again a huge success which

could only be possible with the help from Gosnells Firebrigade,

Gosnells Lions, Armadale Rotary, countless other volunteers and Bright-r.

Australia Day 2021: Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.

A very busy but rewarding morning as the Rotary Club of Kwinana

had the pleasure of hosting Australia Day celebrations at Calista Oval.

Members and partners were busy from 6am onwards with set-up, preparation

and serving of free breakfast to the community, car marshalling, and other duties.

Our very own Kim Beciri did a fine job as MC for the event.

After a 'Welcome to Country' address by local Noongar elder Charlie Kickett,

valued club member Barry Winmar provided a traditional play of the didgeridoo.

Following this, entertainment was provided by local cultural groups

, including belly dancers and Ngaru Pou.

A special mention goes to music man Joseph for providing such

wonderful background music to enhance the general ambience of the occasion.

** HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY **

Australia Day in 2021 is an opportunity to celebrate the Australian spirit,

our mateship and our sense of community.

We find optimism and hope as we look to the future.

We reflect on our nation’s past, which began more than 65,000 years ago

, and the impact of European settlement on the First Nations Australians.

Our national day is a time, above all, for inclusion and respect.

It enables us to pause, listen and gain a greater understanding

of Australia’s First Australians, culture and heritage as we work towards reconciliation.

We celebrate our cultural diversity and rich migrant heritage
, which is very much part of our unique Australian identity
. This diversity shines on Australia Day and is celebrated and respected
in myriad ways across the nation.
Many migrants and refugees will mark Australia Day in special citizenship ceremonies,
pledging their allegiance to our community and their commitment to Australia as citizens

We celebrated Australia Day by volunteering with our Partners the SJ Lions Club

and the Byford Baptists Church to present the annual BBQ at Briggs Park

. The Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire folk organised another great event.

This is our 22nd year of service to OZ Day for the 2021 year.

Got the job done, had fun and helped make it a great day.

Celebrating Australia Day in Moora.

Truly Aussie under blue skies and warm sun.

There was a happy crowd who enjoyed a breakfast cooked by Rotarians

protected from the sun by gazebos provided by the Lions club.

Congratulations

to all winners of the various awards.

Thank you to all the nominees for the wonderful work you do for your community

Mount Barker Rotary thanks the Shire of Plantagenet for their support

of the Australia Day breakfast. Congratulations to the Plantagenet Shire

Australia Day award winners and new citizens to our community.

Well done to Creative Doors winners.

What an amazing talented community we live in.

Fun on the foreshore for the Annual Australia Day

Breakfast for new Australians and their families

Instead of our usual formal meeting on Tuesday,

we headed to the Swan River for a BBQ breakfast at Adachi Park.

 It was enjoyed by all.

A huge thanks to the Waylen Bay Sea Scouts for the invitation to join them

for their Australia Day Breakfast and award presentations.

We took the opportunity to thank them for their support of the 2020 Jacaranda Festival.

The success of the festival would not have been possible without their support

with 65 of their members helping throughout the day.

This is an excellent example of the benefits of Rotary partnering

with a community group to ensure the project continues to meet the needs of the community.
