This week we were so very excited to welcome Michelle Shackleton
to our Club as our newest member.
Michelle has already been actively engaged in our community programs
and has offered a wealth of volunteering!
This week, together with her induction to the Busselton Geographe Bay Rotary Club,
we were thrilled to learn that Michelle will be instrumental
in the
Rotary International Committee, assisting Julia Spark.
We welcome our newest Rotarian Michelle Gibson.

Last week we were presented with a cheque from Ocean Keys Shopping Centre
from their Christmas promotion to support three local community groups
. We are delighted to be recognised and thank everyone
who put their token towards our Rotary Club.
A free coastal cycling service for seniors or people with disabilities
is expanding to Mindarie and Quinn's Rocks.
The Perth chapter of Cycling Without Age is bringing its trishaws north
as part of its “More Rides for More People in More

To bring January to an end, our club was able to help out
host the NYSF alumni BBQ. We welcomed alumni from previous NYSF programs
to Burswood Park for a barbecue and
the opportunity to network with other alumni!
Was great seeing how rotary and Rotaract have influenced aspiring scientists
and people who are interested in STEM!
It was a social evening with a difference as Bernie and Carolina Masters
took on the roles of “wine connoisseurs” and treated members
and guests to an entertaining evening of wine, cheese and pizza tasting.
We celebrated the Chinese New Year at lunch today
and contributed to "Cows for
Cambodia".
We are at the Explore the Goldfields Expo cooking
up a storm with Kalgoorlie Rotary.
Hamburgers, Sausage Sizzle and Bacon and Egg
Burgers.
All funds raised support out local community.
Great effort by members and friends at Sunday's clean up
on the South Perth foreshore
We have been doing these regularly for 2 years
and Cigarettes, bottles and bottle lids are still
the most collected items
At tonight's meeting we learnt all about Fremantle during WWII
from a local history buff Tim Baldock.
Tim's book Fortress Fremantle documents interesting recounts
of what went
happen on our West Coast of Australia, in Fremantle.
