The Gallipoli 100 is to be a surfboat race featuring surfboats
manned by Australian, New Zealand and Turkish crews
held on 22 and 23 April 2015 from Eceabat (SL Kilitbahir - Çanakkale)
 to North Beach (FL Ariburnu).

There were many life savers and future life savers
who fought at Gallipoli, including a number of our pre-war life savers did not return.

This race and the additional programme set to coincide
with the cultural activities planned by the Turkish Government
will further the friendship between Turkey, Australia and New Zealand
whilst enabling those participating to pay their respects
to all who lost their lives so many years ago.

In support of the Rotary Sail Into Life programme,
we have been successful in obtaining a Lotterywest Grant ($23,148)
to support the purchase of two new 303 Access dinghies.
This will ensure we have suitable capacity to meet
the strong community demand for this programme.
We can also have some regatta competitions!

Hon John Castrilli MLA kindly presented the 'cheque' today.

. We are greatful to Lotterywest for this fantastic support
which will ensure Rotay Sail into Life's sustainability into the future.
