The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards ( RYLA ) are on again!
RYLA offer men and women between the ages
of 18 and 25 years an opportunity
to
attend a residential seminar
designed to develop their leadership skills.
Activities such as abseiling, rock climbing, hiking
and camping out,
presentation skills, conflict resolution,
yoga and discussions on social issues
are just part of the week long Program.
The next program will be run from 9-15th January 2016.

Street School
with the help of a District Grant.
The children at the school
really love the swing
as you can seat up to 5 (depending on the size of the
child)
. We are privileged to support Carson Street School.
In the past we have
provided a shade umbrella for the remembrance garden,
standing frame and an all
terrain stroller.

from Camrose in Canada’s Alberta
province,
and past district governor John Simmons swap club banners.
CANADIAN Rotarians raise
eye-popping sums for charity,
visiting Rotarian, Donna Phillips told the club.
Her club (one of two in her hometown, Camrose, in Alberta)
is one of the
world’s oldest clubs
and celebrated its 90th anniversary last year.
To celebrate, its members decided to invest $90,000
in their community in that
anniversary year.
The result was a youth centre
which they built
and turned over to the city
