and exploring how Rotary can support the trust.

Rotary  of Elizabeth Quay

A few weeks ago we were able to support the
team at a one of their City Walk
 with some hands-on volunteering.

One of our members had a birthday and decided take our purpose literally.
Nick Lim's birthday landed on a club night and instead of receiving a birthday present,
he gave all of our members a gift to Facilitate Generosity (our core purpose)
. All of our members and attending guests received two coffee vouchers,
proudly sponsored by Lowdown (50% - big thanks!)
and a challenge to make a Kindness Commitment.

Rotary Club of Geraldton

Well Done to 4 way test contestant Ciedele Mezger

In all, over over 100+ students provided expressions of interest
which the three clubs will be following up on!
The number one question was
“When is the next volunteering opportunity?”

Most people heard of ‘Rotary
’ but weren’t quite sure what Rotary does..
.now they do!

Rotary Club of Wyalkatchem

Our most recent meeting was held on Tuesday 13th March
 at the Wyalkatchem Men’s Shed.
We appreciate the partnership between the two local community organisations,
and with so much membership crossover we’re able
to share ideas, events and resources to maximise local engagement.
We had many guests at the meeting, including Sarah from the shire,
Tom and Sue from the caravan park
and Eline from the hospital
. We all enjoyed a lovely meal prepared by Sheryl,
including, as always, delicious sweets that raise money for ROMAC.

We also celebrated a belated International Women’s Day (8th March)
. All members were invited to wear international dress
and give a donation to Days for Girls in honour
of the occasion and amazing work they do for girls
and young women around the world.
International Women’s Day is a day that Rotary International
also celebrates and promotes through clubs around the world,
with the current Rotary International President
calling on all clubs to improve gender balance in their membership.
Our club is well gender balanced,
with 5 out of 11 members female,
and all members valued for their input.

Rotary Club of Moora

The annual meet the newcomers  at the Moora bowling club.
Rotarian Fran Hill welcomed everyone to the evening
. Our guest speaker Cr Ken Seymour(Shire President)

Rotary Club of Ascot

The Rotary Club of Ascot ran a successful Tournament in Perth last year
for the Australian Fellowship of Golfing Rotarians.
Here's what "Rotary Down Under"
had to say this month about our event's awesome results.

Warmly welcomed back to Ascot recently was Keetah McBeath
who first came to WA in 2008 with a Group Study Exchange
from District 5050 British Columbia, Canada and Washington, USA
. Keetah is of the Ononadago Clear Sky people of the Six Nations in Ontario
and represented them as part of our District's first Indigenous Exchange.
She is now back revisiting her home hosts from ten years ago
which reflects the wonderful friendships that were formed
through this amazing Rotary project across the world,
 across generations and across time
