successful projects created by Rotary.
Probus
Clubs bring together retired and semi-retired people
in fellowship and
friendship for monthly meetings

a Perth based social enterprise,
which reprocesses plastic bottles into 3D printer filament.
As WA’s first
plastic reprocessing initiative, theGreenbatch facility
will reduce WA’s
environmental footprint and prevent millions of plastic bottles
ending up in
our oceans, landfills, and waste incinerators

A number of our members and family ran a sausage sizzle
at the Annual
Cadet Parade and Flag Raising Ceremony at Government House
, organised by the
Royal Commonwealth Society, earlier this month.
Our sincere thanks go to the Royal Commonwealth Society

and to our volunteers for giving up their time to help.
This week we enjoyed having Millie
Evans as guest speaker.
A student at Murdoch University, Millie was sponsored
by our club
to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) during January,
and
gained much from the experience.
We were thrilled to hear that since attending
RYLA,
not only has Millie maintained contact with fellow attendees,
she will
help as a facilitator at next year's RYLA camp!

attendance of around 450 filled the Auditorium
at the Mt Pleasant College to
hear the amazing South Side Symphony Orchestra
and the incredible violin
soloist Isabelle Chen and her equally
incredible twin brother Joshua Chen on
piano.
They then spoilt us all with a wonderful duet from Isabelle
on violin
and Joshua, this time on cello.

The Rotary Club of Nedlands President
Steve Wiltshire, and members Rod Shea and Barry Ryall
joined our CEO Lorna
MacGregor in the Lifeline WA office last week
to generously present us with
$8,000 donation to go towards
the life-saving services that Lifeline WA
provides.
The club has supported Lifeline WA for 18 years,
a relationship that
started with the club purchasing cards
with the 13 11 14 crisis line on them to
hand out to school children
to raise awareness of Lifeline WA and its services.

Why is that great?
Well,
since our last cleanup there in March (where we collected 7 full bags)
it seems
the place has stayed relatively clean.
