Whilst in Dili we stayed a a local
hotel on the beach,
where meals on the beach were optional
How the locals manage to roll out the
poly pipeline in the first instance .
Even with the help of locals
the going was difficult.
The students were all excited to see
Rotarians who promises fresh water.
Prior to Rotary tapping the spring to
supply the current water
each student had to bring 5 litres of water and a
stick for the fire every Monday.
The water was for drinking and cooking,
the
stick was to fuel the fires for boiling the water before drinking.
Annual Radio Auction
A cheque was presented to the Rotary Club of Boulder
from Triple M for $88,161.00 for the
Perth Children's Hospital Goldfields Family Assistance Trust Fund.
The Bohdi Tree Surf board that was donated to the Radio Auction
was then sold for $9000.00, that's right $9000.
The funds were then added straight into GM5FK.
Followed by a very generous cash donation from
the floor, took the total to over...$100,000.
What a great community we live in.
Well done team Triple M and your staff and team of ambassadors.
This money directly assists families of sick children
needing to travel for treatment,
