It was also the end of our World Polio Day appeal at 7th Ave Bar & Restaurant

Great day.
Well done to the committee and all the Rotary

It was our pleasure to last night
host a joint meeting
and representatives and teachers from Telethon Speech & Hearing
and
the School of Special Educational Needs
to welcome back the teachers who went
on exchange
to the Karya Mulia School for the Deaf in Surabaya this year.
It
was great to hear about Katie and Simon's strategies and approaches
while
teaching kids with hearing impairments in Indonesia,
and also what they learned
from their exchange experience.

Following the highly successful 50
Year celebration Day at Como SC,
we visited the College last week for a meeting
with Digby Mercer, Principal
to discuss a proposal for an exciting new Como Rotary
sponsored community project.
Details to be announced in the new school year.
Digby kindly showed us the new statue of the Como SC emblem
which was unveiled
to commemorate the 50 Year celebration day.
Pictured here Digby and Pat Pinkus, long term Como Rotarian
and College board
member, next to the statue, which looks amazing.
