Heart Surgery Saves Baby Gabriella’s Life

Thanks to ROMAC, three-month old Gabriella is recovering well

 following life-saving heart surgery performed at Auckland’s

 Starship Children’s hospital in February.

 Since her operation Gabriella has put on weight and is now a very happy

 and placid baby and is well enough to return to her home in Fiji.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who made Gabriella's surgery possible.

ROMAC provides medical treatment for children from developing countries

 in the form of lifesaving and dignity restoring surgery

 not accessible to them in their home country.

The Rotary Australia World Community Services Donation in Kind 

at Edinburgh Park South Australia loaded the last of seven truckloads

 of Medical equipment for the SA Health COVID-19 Hospital

 being setup in the old Wakefield Hospital. 

This in addition to 120 beds to the SA Health Collinsgrove site last week

 & 6 Ventilators to the Royal Adelaide Hospital earlier this week. 

The Donations in Kind team feel privileged to be able to help in this time of need.

On 1 April 1920, the Rotary Club of Buenos Aires was chartered

 and Argentina became the second country in South America with Rotary

Last week in the mail Pres. Jeremy received a delivery containing a crystal and medal 

for PRID Ken Collins which is recognition by Rotary International

 for a Rotarian who has rendered outstanding service over a prolonged period

 in all Five Avenues of Rotary Service.

These are: Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service,

 International Service and Youth Service.

Heartfelt Congratulations to PRID Ken,

 who, after more than 50 years of continuous service to humanity

, through Rotary at Club. District, National and International levels,

 still continues to be the backbone of the RCFB.

  MEETS ONLINE

 Fourteen members of the Rotary Club of Armadale tuned in

 for our second online meeting via Zoom, 

as we come to terms with the restrictions relating to the Covid 19 pandemic.

 It was technically a Board meeting,

 but open to all members and it was wonderful that everyone participated

. Business and fun were nicely combined
