Olivia Plant, who lives in Canning Vale was the winner
of the Youth in Focus prize and DGN Patricia Schraven asked

Then, of course, our very own Jeff Spickett

Foodbank CEO Greg Hebble joined our meeting this morning
on his way to the office and collected member's food donations.
Greg advised that our food collections will provide the equivalent
of 76 meals to those in need.
Our secretary Chris Whelan, feeling a little more relaxed about
the pandemic management, donated his COVID food contingency suppl
y and Greg
assumes the meals provided will now exceed the 76 equivalent number.
At last week's meeting, we welcomed the Dowson family,
who have been beneficiaries of the
Perth Children's Hospital Goldfields Family Assistance Trust Fund
, a fund established to assist families with sick children
needing to travel for medical assistance.
It was great to hear their story, as the fund is run with the patients
and families details kept anonymous to all club members,
except for 3 board members who will deal with the claims.
The fund is also not means tested and is available
to all families living in the Goldfields.
Thank you so much to Haylie and Phil for sharing Taytens story
