Early in July a group of eight cyclists will be hitting the road

from Fremantle heading to Albany - via the wheatbelt - over six days,

 on electric and road bikes.

 Why?

Well aside from the adventure and to test the amazing durability of the Ryder brand,

the group is hoping to raise $5000 for local charity Bicycles For Humanity.

Donations to the cause can be made here

WHAT is Bicycles For Humanity?

Also known as B4HWA, it is part of an exciting global volunteer-run,

non-profit organisation that uses donated bikes to help

alleviate poverty through sustainable transport.

Every year around 1.5 million bikes are sold across Australia –

about around half of these will end up unused or abandoned.

We put this huge resource to work in some of the world’s poorest regions.

B4HWA also donates bikes to schools in remote aboriginal communities

 across Western Australia.

These bikes are used by schools in their broader health and retention programs.

We also provide bikes to other charities helping refugees

start new lives here in Perth, WA.

People with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)

obsess about one or more aspects of their appearance

that they believe is out of proportion, or unbearably ugly.

One study indicated that 57.8 per cent of BDD sufferers

reported suicidal ideation.
