Marga is the wife of the General Secretary of Rotary International

how John became involved with Rotary and eventually the General Secretary,
her role in this position and projects she has enjoyed working with.
Marga is passionate about the use of Rotary Soundation Global Grants
and has carried out a number of projects via this method of funding.

Dr Karl O'Callaghan was very inspirational.

FOOTY EVENING :_    A GREAT SUCCESS

A Lot of effort had been put into this event .
No mean feat to collate all the results .
  Thanks Judy and Paul.
A Great Footy theme  Dinner by the ladies of the Country Club.

The room was set up in local and AFL colours
and even the club ladies made the effort to be in tune.
Almost all that attended entered into the theme of the night.
The country club is a great venue to hold an event like this
Full bar and the table service was fantastic

Katrina won the prize for the best dressed club lady.

Our District 9455 Rotary Youth Exchange student Ona from Spain
attended the Quindanning Farmstay Weekend.
It was an opportunity for all the students from the District
to get to know each other as well as enjoy life
in the Aussie bush in the beartiful spring weather.
The students stayed at a farm south of Perth
and were able to experience some of the farm activities
such as caring for orphaned joeys and observing sheep being shorn
For Ona a highlight was holding the joey.

What's happening to our lookout?
The Rotary lookout has been there for over 30 years
 and is needing some maintenance.
The hand rails and central stairs are being removed
to have them repaired and replaced.
This should take about 5 weeks!

Rotary Club of Geraldton

On Wednesday night our club was treated to a tour of Batavia Coast Maritime Institute.
We really enjoyed hearing about all the work that is done at the institute
with breeding fish & trying stop pesky introduced fish
from overtaking our native fish in our river ways.

Phillippa wore orange in support of Are you ok? Day
