On Friday night Rotary Youth exchange students
Margrete Saeter from our club and Lola Mathieu
 from Rotary Club of Geraldton-Greenough

(with all the Rotary Youth Exchange students in WA).
The students really enjoyed getting to sit in the legislative assembly

and a take home parliamentary showbag.
Exciting times ahead as the girls will be commencing
their Northwest Safari the next day.

At the John Fawcett Foundation AGM this morning.
The JFF was an initiative of West Perth Rotary Club.
John Hollingshead and Pat Emery were front row in keeping the tradition
of support to this excellent organisation.
Gede Bingin Exec Manager of JFF Indonesia and Wayan Helmy were down again
and Penny Lane (all the way from Tasmania)
came along to make it the most complete board member representation
 in recent times
John Fawcett lives on in spirit as the organisation continues

Rotary Club of Kenwick

Peter and P Joe planted 40+ trees — one day after Earth Day.
We were given the opportunity by The South East Regional Centre
 for Urban Landcare (SERCUL).

At the beginning of this Rotary year, RI World President Ian Riseley
issued a challenge for ever Rotary club
to plant one tree for each Rotary member.
His goal in doing so was twofold.
The first goal was obvious: trees are good for us.
They absorb carbon and release oxygen, they support biodiversity,
they improve our soil, our climate, and our moods.
We need more of them, and planting trees is a wonderful project
for all Rotary clubs to do together

Great fellowship and each trip they provide with a set of golf clubs

Tonight I was presented with cricket ball
