We're proud to announce our support for SAFE Broome's

 What a night to remember

. Jill has officially handed the reins over to

The Very Reverend John Shepherd.

Huge thank you to MC Events Co. and Morgan Cawthorne

for styling the night to our Carnaby St 1966 theme.

Great job by the fellowship team to pull it all together

. The Rotars were amazing as always and everyone had a great night.

Thanks to Larry for not taking off his clothes and being the MC

and thanks to John Garland for a beautiful song for Jill.

See you next Friday for lunch.

A wonderful Changeover celebration evening

for the Rotary Club of Palm Beach WA Inc

The Rotary Club of Albany Port's on going youth programme,

headed up by Geoff Inman, recently sponsored two more candidates

for the Rypen course in Perth.

In the photos Jack Wearing and Ella Finn are presented with their Rypen certificates

 by President Bill Hollingworth.

Both Ella and Jack are Police Rangers and attend Saint Joseph's school in Albany.

We wish them both the very best for the future and hope that

we might see them again as Rotoractors or Rotarians!

District 9465 held the South Coast Assembly in Katanning last Sunday

. The Rotary Club of Albany Port was represented by ten members

who made the two hour trip up to attend the Assembly.

We were able to catch up with the latest information from District headquarters

and meet District Governor elect, Patricia Schraven in person.

We look forward to a strong year in Rotary.

At our meeting last week Maya Lilley attended to talk to our club

and show her gratitude for her sponsorship to attend the

Rotary Youth Programme of Enrichment (RYPEN) camp for 2021.

Presenting in front of a group can be very daunting

. Lorraine put her media skills to use and interviewed Maya

who spoke to us about her experience at RYPEN.

Great job done by Lorraine and Maya

Tonight the Mount Barker Cooperative, established 1917,

 for attending tonight.

A congratulations to Sandy Perry & Ross Roberts & Staff from

the Mount Barker Post Office whom received

the Rotary Pride Of Workmanship Award tonight.

Your dedication to community over the past 14 years does not go un-noticed

& your community is grateful for your service, Thank you.

There is never a dull moment at our meetings.

This week we enjoyed a presentation by prize-winning author Joanna Sassoon,

who told us how E.L. Mitchell's photographs have shaped ideas about Australia.

Several members bought copies of Joanna's book.

If you missed out find it in good bookshops or online at

https://scholarly.info/.../agents-of-empire-how-e-l.../

We had an excellent guest speaker tonight. Nat Homewood told us about

last weekends MOORA Horse Trials event.

It was the 20th time this event had been held.

The event organised by a committee of 10 was an outstanding success.

 Congratulations to all involved

More than 150 books donated by RCMP members

were delivered to Curtin Primary School

for sale as fundraiser for the P&C fair.

We are building close relationships between RCMP

and the communities in our area.
If you have any books you no longer need/want please consider
