To: All current and incoming Rotary club officers
Cc: Governors, governors-elect and assistant governors
Dear current and incoming Rotary club officers:
This is a friendly reminder to update your club membership
and officer information in your local country or district database by 1 July 2022. We will use this
information to generate your July 2022 club invoice.
It is important that your club’s member information is
up-to-date, because Rotary cannot change the club invoice after it has
been generated or accept membership updates with your payment.
As a current club officer, you can ensure
that your club invoice
will be correct by updating the information in
your local database.
- Your club has indicated that it is using a
partner system connected to RI
- to manage membership information in
My Rotary,
- the details of which are linked here.
- Please make all updates to membership in your local database.
- Report all new or terminated members and
2022-23 club officers
- no later than 1
July 2022.
·
Members with
admission dates of 1 July 2022 or before will be counted for
the July 2022 club invoice.
·
Members with
termination dates of 1 July 2022 or before will not be counted
for the July 2022 club invoice.
The Rotary International invoice is generated from the
data in Rotary's database and you are able to see your membership changes
reflected in Rotary International’s database by signing into My Rotary. If you see any discrepancy between My Rotary and the partner system used
by your club please contact data@rotary.org.
Besides updating membership, any changes to
subscriptions to Rotary (formerly The
Rotarian [in English]) should be reported to data@rotary.org prior to 1 July 2022.
For more information about the club invoice, including
how-to guides and answers to frequently asked questions, go to My
Rotary’s Club Administration pages. For help with membership questions,

Awards Night
On Thursday, 26 May the Rotary Club of
Scarborough held its Youth Night at the Western Australian Golf Club in Yokine. Having been cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions , it was
wonderful for the club to be able to showcase the various youth programs it
sponsors, including Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and Youth Exchange as well
as receiving reports from four past recipients of the Stan Perron Award at
Carine and Churchlands Senior High Schools.
The speakers, including the MC, Madi Smith, were outstanding and attendees were able to appreciate and be inspired by what
they have gained from taking part in the programs and receiving the awards. Attendees also received updates on the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards from
Tania Johanssen and Youth Exchange from Norman de Grussa as well as a
presentation from members of Rotex about their organisation and experiences
from participation in youth exchange.
The event provided an excellent example of the
success of District 9455’s School Link Program, facilitating beneficial links
between Rotary clubs and high schools to enable participation in Rotary youth
programs.
District Secretary Yvonne Hart’s feedback
reflected the night’s success:
It was an
impressive evening because the event was run by young people and was a clear
message showcasing how active Rotary Scarborough is with Youth in the area. I
sat with two young people from Rotex as well as a teacher from Carine SHS so
for me it was a great opportunity to meet new people who I normally would not
have the opportunity to spend time with. The food was excellent so compliments
to the WA Golf Club Chef.
Keep up the great
youth work at Scarborough.

Henny Nethercott and Scott Matthews were the 2022
recipients at the RC of Mill Point TAFE awards last night. These two young
people are certainly making their mark on the industry and well deserving of
being recognized for their achievements- Congratulations to both students!
The club was proud to be involved in a project that
as President Dave said helps to promote peace and understanding within our
community.
Congratulations
to the Bunbury Multicultural Group, Bunbury Museum and Bunbury Photographic Club on the grand opening of "This one
thing" Photo exhibition. A wonderful celebration of cultural diversity and
heritage.
The unveiling of the Peace Pole at Edgewater
Primary School!!!
A wonderful initiative from Rotary Canberra Burley
Griffin in 2021 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Rotary International by
installing 100 Peace Poles last year, has now grown to over 200 installations
around Australia. We have over 20 in WA and one more today!
The Peace Pole program had its beginnings in 1955. You can find Peace Poles in nearly 200 countries with more than 200,000 poles
being placed around the World.
Peace Poles are planted with the Universal Peace
Message “May Peace Prevail on Earth”. They symbolize our common wish for a
World at Peace. They stand as a silent vigil for peace reminding us to think and act in the spirit of Peace. The Peace message is written in four languages
one panel on each side of the Peace Pole.
The students did a fantastic job this afternoon
celebrating the Peace Pole at an assembly. Special guests included District
Governor De
Buckland, President Brian
Butterworth, members of Rotary Mindarie &
Rotary Joondalup, and a representative from the City of Joondalup who
participated in the unveiling.
While the country was
in the grips of federal election campaigning and voting, the Busselton
Geographe Bay Rotary Club enjoyed their annual pilgrimage to Walpole, a
beautiful town surrounded by the Walpole-Nornalup National Park and the
Walpole-Nornalup Inlet System. Organiser and all-round terrific bloke, Rotarian
John Muir deserves all the accolades for yet another outstanding weekend of
fellowship, wine, laughter and Walpole ecological education , sprinkled with the
fascinating history of the mighty Muir family, delivered by the enthusiastic
and incredibly entertaining Eco Guide Gary Muir, John’s nephew.
The Rotary Club of
Subiaco came together with guests from the Rotary Club of North Perth, Rotary
Club of Cambridge, Rotary Club of Dalkeith and Rotaract Club of Subiaco to
hear Cameron Bancroft give moving insights into professional cricket. Following
the presentation, we had a beautiful evening of fellowship and a nice dinner at
the
Subiaco Hotel.
Cameron Bancroft Western Scorchers and previously
played for Australia in test cricket with his grandfather Bill Benbow a 50 year member of the Rotary club of Subiaco thanking him for his speech about the power of
affirmations crystallizing into results.
Alice O'Sullivan who was the object of a RABS
project, attended the Club's first meeting in June to thank the RC Freshwater
Bay for our assistance over the past few years.
Alice who is cerebral palsied and visually impaired, has been accepted into ANU to join the Law Faculty mid-year so she and mum Jackie are heading to a house
in Canberra which has been modified for Alice's wheelchair and other special
needs.
As well as her outstanding academic ability, Alice is also an excellent
swimmer, with a dream to compete in the Paralympics so she will also join ANUs
new swimming facility or train with the AIS in Canberra.
With the outstanding accomplishments and ability already displayed by Alice, we
look forward to following her achievements and wish her will in all her future
endeavours
Last nights Trots meeting was a great success. Held
together with Mama Respond the evening was a colourful and fun night . Freo
Rotary raised approx $4250 and Mama Respond raised significant funds
Instead of our usual meeting, this week we held a
Blue Moon event. These are all about having fun and this one was dinner and a
date night with Tom Cruise. The movie was brilliant!
June Quiz night. Great atmosphere and fun.
A warm welcome! This tree in Kununurra, WA was done
