have joined as an “RFDS Champion” with
Royal Flying Doctor
Service of Australia
to support the Flying Doctor Day appeal on 17th May 2021
. Flying Doctor Day celebrates the anniversary of the first RFDS flight 93
years ago on 17 May 1928.
From 1st to the 14th May your tax-deductible donations to the Royal Flying Doctors Service
through the RCWP Trust Account will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000.
The RCWP Trust will donate the
total contribution to the RFDS Flying Doctor Day Appeal.
Donations made to this appeal will be similarly matched dollar-for-dollar by RFDS
Matched Giving Partners (Rio Tinto, CBH and
IGO) further doubling the contribution!

we hosted the 30th Annual ANZAC Day Legacy Golf Day
together with the Geraldton Golf Club.
The event was cancelled last year due to Covid, but we were back this year
for a fabulous day to raise
funds for Legacy WA.
Since it began in 1991, the Legacy Golf Day has raised over $150,000 for Legacy WA
, an organisation that are there for the partners and the children
of those who gave their lives or their health for our
country.
Thanks to all the sponsors who donated both goods and services
and a big thank you to all who joined us to play in today's Ambrose competition
and joined in the auction fun! Congratulations to the
winners!
Centennial Project for the Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay
was planting a tree at Sir Charles Court Reserve,
Nedlands, Wednesday, 21st April, in conjunction
with the
City of Nedlands.
Tree was planted by Pres. Di Collins and Deputy Mayor Leo McManus.
In attendance was Celia Hammond MP, Dr. Katrina Sratton MP,
PRID Ken Collins, DG Jon Bilson, AG Jeremy Wood,
a number of members of the RC Freshwater Bay,
the majority of Councillors from the City of Nedlands,
along with a significant number of senior staff.
Meeting of the RC Freshwater Bay Wednesday, 28th April,
our member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamid Sohrabi from Iran
was our speaker.
With an excellent pictorial PowerPoint presentation on the
country, culture, history, food, religion etc.
we were all enthralled with Hamid's great presentation
on his Life and Times.
Hamid is the Head Researcher at the Aust. Alzheimer's Research Foundation
and working with a
number of the Club's projects

Recently the club celebrated the appointment of the 2021 office bearers for the
Willetton Senior High School interact Club and the appointment
of the 2021 Head Boy and Head Girl,
with a presentation of certificates ceremony, to recognise
these achievements by the students
. Heartiest congratulations to these student leaders
and the club wishes them every success during 2021.
